Mikel and Lampard are sluggish at best and I'd be looking to really control that area of the field and let Coutinho drift around them. Suarez and Sterling should be looking to bomb between and around their CBs as much as possible. Ivan is great, but he's with a new partner and CB partnerships are so important to how well they play. They'll be unsure who's picking up who and when.
Lampard, Mikel and Matic will boss the midfield, cutting out our play constantly. I predicted a draw before and I think so even more now.
It is a weakened team. Azpi, Ivanovic, Matic being the only regular 1st teamers. Willian and Cahill rested. Though, Schurrle and Ba are their most dangerous forwards imo. Now, being that Mourinho is proudly a snake... if it is 0-0 by half-time, he'll bring on Willian and Torres, and possibly Cahill. Let's start strong and vigilant at all times.
That sarcasm? Matic is good, but contributes very little going forward. Mikel likewise offers nothing forward, but he's slow and really average. Lampard is dangerous but will barely hit walking pace in the game. Our midfield is far quicker and fitter than they are. If we have the ball, they'll have to work very hard to get it back off us.
Mikel & Lampard aren't all that mobile. Hopefully the speed or Coutinho & Stelring with Allen's energy & harrying can put them under pressure on the ball and get around and past them when we have the ball.
If their midfield go tight then just watch Gerrard move 5 yards forward and put balls into the space beyond them. We'll win this.
V nervous about the match, but do feel better after seeing there team. New CB pairing against our attack should be a joy to watch hopefully and there midfield looks laggy. With any luck they will not be able top live with our high tempo game. Ba and Schurrle are still game changers though.

Shows how bad a player is when your pleased he can't be involved. I'll admit i was quite pleased when he signed, hoped for allot from him. As is patently obvious though the boy has got quite possible the ****tist attitude i have ever seen. If i were Mourinho i would pretend not to be in when he came back next season.
