Just to set the scene a little bit, for those undecided about coming now or not, or if you're just interested this Sunday morning - this is the worst day of my life.
Credit where it's due. The staff on the ticket windows seem to have kept calm, polite and professional in the face of the anxious and tense and those trying it on.
What do you mean by those trying it on? Does anyone know if anyone non semi attenders or non passholders have been going and trying their luck this past week?
If your not here already.....you'd be mad to come today Just passed the dug out and iv been here since just after 8am Q looks bigger then ever looking back
People have been joining the queue near the front by standing with people they know and that's why it's barely moving at the back. As for people trying it on. The guy I had is clearly training and had somebody supervising him and he didn't check if I had been to the semi, he just asked where I wanted to be and whether it was adult or concession. Good job I did go to the semi but it seems it would be possible for people to get theirs.
There are several ways of jibbing the system, I'm not going to specify them here. Most involve errors by the tix office staff who are snowed under. Delays: People turn up with 20 passes and don't know the addresses of every applicant, so they have to ring the pass holder to check the address etc. It takes time to process and issue 20 tickets.
I arrived in queue at exactly 6am Sunday morning. Queue was already at the blue/yellow west stand upper staircase blocks. I bought my tickets at 11.45. Had good banter in the queue but omg it was hard work. I queued to ensure i had a pick of where i wanted my group to be. But why oh why in 2014 in the digital age can we not buy our tickets on line ? and by telephone for those without net access? Any others without either could of course queue. Our supporters have collectively lost tens of thousands of hours queuing over the week end. not to mention those who have taken time from their working week, even booking days holidays....to Queue !!!! . Its amazing Glastonbury can check in 100,000 ticket buyers on line, even the rugby league can sell on line 70,000 tickets for the Old Trafford for the Grand Final, and how are we Hull City fans asked to purchase our miniscule 25,000 FA cup final tickets ? Were asked to join a queue on a Sunday morning that runs a full three quarters around the stadium, where i have to stand in line for 5.75hrs. Thank god it wasn't raining. Premier club with championship mentality. GET IT SORTED CITY, PATHETIC, EMBARRASSING and VERY POOR TREATMENT OF FANS. Get your online selection and booking system organised. Because we are PISSED OFF at your unprofessional incompetency. Roll up roll up, join the queue just 7hrs from here people. Its far better we waste your time than ours, we know you'll understand. Well actually you have to understand as you don't have a choice really do you !!!! thank God our team are million times better than the the organisation. Cant Brucie organise the ticketing as well next time ???
Joined queue at 6.55 at main reception. Got to Dugout bar around 9.15-9.30. Got tickets at 12.50. Saw no sign of queue jumping, very good natured. We had list of 11 pass numbers he just asked if we all went to semi which we did, asked which block we wanted and transaction done. Not sure if he checked whether they were all used for semi or not but it was all very efficient.
Yup off for block 110 first choice or 111 second choice if possible Can see ticket office sign Q has slowed down for some reason
