I agree that we must win this. But if we draw we don't definately have to win our last 2 games but if we weren't to win them both, it put's it back in City's hands. But I expect City to drop points still. Game on.
If barca could not break them down it is going to be very hard for us but praying the football gods are on our side When Cfc want to defend they are more than capable
Have you actually watched Athletico? Their attack was almost clearly built to suit Chelsea's defence ie crosses and headers. Now apart from corners we do not play like that at all. Chelsea will need a very different defensive plan to try and cope with our attack!
Lets beat the feckers and put them out the picture. I read somewhere we have never won 12 on the spin, perfect day to change that.
well 0-0 gets us out if this one with the title still in our hands so i'd take it now; sterling is the key... suarez and sterling stretching them and making it hard to know where to mark. we can play with pace and intensity which is the absolute key to unlocking massed defence. have to get in behind and get them turned.... however playing the side at no 2 in the table? mourinho would take the 0-0 and did so v moyes utd. didn't he? i'd take any result and move on. We'll try our best but as a FAN not a player 0-0 would suit me just fine if thats what offered
Were did I say "settle for a draw"? I was merely pointing out that be happy with what the Man City was hoping for; ie it would still leave us in control
That's why I'm glad that you are not Brendan Rodgers. With our record at Anfield and our style of play, settling for 0-0 before you've even kicked-off is really far far too negative and totally contrary to what we have done so far this season. You MIGHT have to settle for that towards the end of the game but certainly not now. Why did you reference their game against United. One of the major things that United have lacked all season (including yesterday) is an almost complete lack of pace! As a FAN then I totally disagree I WANT a WIN!!!
And put even greater pressure on our last 2 matches whereas a win loads pressure on City and kills off Chelsea
Be in the car for the first half, hate listening on the radio. Hopefully I will see all of the second half. I know we are all feeling the pressure of the run in, and going over and over the various permutations..................but isn't it fantastic to be in this position after all the problems with the club in recent years, especially under the two cowboys. Whether we win the prem or not, I will be happy with what has been a fantastically entertaining season, with CL next year to look forward to. Having said that we had better bloody win it!!!!!
But since he is a Man City fan, he should be hoping for a Chelsea win to give his team control. That was my point
I want a win too, but Cfc very good at spoiling parties. I sort of agree we have to go for win, we are not set up to go for draw- it would cause us to play poorly I believe. Any result other than a win will have repercussions on our next performance also.
( Radio 5 live) Jan Molby outside Anfield says he has never experienced such an atmosphere in 30 years
best of luck for today. go and win, and take some of the pressure off. As someone in my late fifties, I grew up with the Liverpool successes in the league and in Europe. I so want you guys to win the title, even though it means a windfall £1 million to the skates over the Glen Johnson purchase - as a saints fan that's really hard thing to wish for!!
