I am not one to take sides, but in this case I have to agree. Why buy two strikers (of a certain nature) and not have a midfield that can supply? What on earth can NA do to make it 'that much better'. After today, I have selected three players that must never wear the shirt again (the two 'strikers') and Redmond. Sorry, but as much of a talent as he 'might' be, he is not good enough. As for Elmo and RVW, the less said, the better. I am really hurting tonight, not because we are faced with relegation, but the pathetic performance once again. I am putting this down to the players ability, and that comes back to one person.
Are you for real? I hope Chelsea win the league and the Champions league, i don`t care about Liverpool in the slightest so you come on our boards for what? I`m not taking our problems out on Liverpool in the slightest, you telling us fans that endured hours of dull lifeless relentless **** under Hughton that we are going down because we fired the clown is getting irritating ,we had a Geordie doing it last week.
I am entitled to my opinion! And that is that you would have had a better chance of staying up under Houghton. I might be wrong, but we'll never know.
Agree but feel more aggrieved at the Board for not acting sooner. I am no fan of Hughton but there was absolutely no sense in sacking him with 5 games to go. What on earth was the point. He would have taken us down and probably resigned honourably leaving us to start again. Whatever your feelings on our current situation we are a poor side and need to start building now for next season.
Yep, what manager can turn around a team with 5 games to go?, and Adams doesn't have the experience to do that anyway.
I agree 100%. In August I said give him until the first week in December, and come that time I said he should go, and I stick to that regardless of what anyone says. We all see things differently and often do not agree, bit I still cannot not work out after 12 months why so many people were backing the previous regime. To me it was clear it was not working, but I am in no position to influence anything. I hope DM has learned from this, and realises that his 'Houdini' escape with Fulham some years back (under similar circumstances) was somewhat fortuitous.
Nah mate, been there done that with ego the size of house players, disgraceful tantrum tonight. You boys would do well to get rid quick, he seems a problem.
We are the lowest scoring team in all English leagues and have been awful for 2 seasons under Hughton, that`s why people don`t like him and that`s rational in my eyes. I don`t hate him, i hated his team selection and weird subs.
JWM -Or Cardiff will win 0-2 and we will go into the bottom three on GD.A couple of thousand yokels baying for the manager's blood is no basis for changing him. This should be obvious from the last three games. And as for the title Liverpool/Chelsea/Citeh is my order of preference.
DM, I accept you are highly in favour of CH being in charge, but just what would it have taken for you to change your mind?
I was in support of NA, but something looked so wrong today. It is something I can never understand in football, which is how a team can play well for one or two games, but then collapse like a deck of cards. This has left me questioning the ability of NA, or at least half of the players we have in the starting XI.
