But he's had a fully fit squad at his disposal more or less. Here we go here we go here we go..... Seriously though I'm sure those of us who didn't want this appointment are happy to give credit where it's due and right now it's points in th bag that matters and I'd love Monk to go on and prove us wrong. Sighs of relief all around.
And lets be honest, the Swans have good enough players to win without a manager ,even personal pride would have been enough to push them over the line ,but its fair to say that any team with Bony in it shouldn't be fighting relegation anyway. The guy has been unplayable since Laudrup put him on a special fitness regime Well done to the Swans players though, they showed bottle and thankfully the goals came at the right time ,which is something that hasnt happened much this season either .
Well done Garry Monk & the boys'. We've been waiting too long to batter someone. Such a shame it's Lambert!! Get in... The Jacks are staying up...
He's been unplayable since Michu got injured and Laudrup was forced to implement a style to include him
Lets face it , mickey mouse could have run this assembled team since the sacking and having a healthy team .That being said , Monk and Huw almost blew it . It will take more than " mickey mouse " next season "
I thought Bony went out of his own way to get himself a fitness regime!! Didn't think Laudrup had anything to do with it??!!
He did valley so don't listen to them. the players were lucky if laudrup turned up at the training ground let alone have any interest in the physio room
While I think he has done well to save us as he got the credentials to make us a good team could he bring in top players as we know we will lose a few. We all know our british players cost double than the ones from spain etc. Michu is gone as we all know don't think he liked playing along side Bony as he was not no 1
This board is sooooo funny. I can understand the Monk/ Laudrup thing but now we're told we didn't have a coaching staff under Laudrup and that he never turned up for training. Do you guys believe this stuff or are you just putting it up for ****s n giggles? You're entertaining I'll give you that.
40 points in the first 28 premier league games last season , winning a League Cup and qualifing for Europe and all some want to talk about is the last 10 games under Laudrup last season ....Laudrup qualified us for the 2nd round of Europa , Got us to the 5 th round of the FA CUP and had us averaging 1.25 points a game for our first 16 Premier league games till injury ripped us apart , and all some want to talk about is Laudrups final 8 Premier league games against the best of the best ...ungratefulness and foolishness has no bounds arounds here .
Football is not a business where what happened before a distaster has more importance than the disaster itself, it's not something that is done in any business actually. Case in point is Ken Kutaragi, who is his industry comparitively achieved so much more than what Laudrup has in football. Here is the man who is known in the Consumer Electronics industry as 'the Father of Playstation', his management singlehandedly ousted the three big players (Nintendo, Sega and Atari) as well as an entire platform (PC gaming). He sold more Playstation gaming consoles than rival companies sold televisions! His position in consumer electronics was effectively godlike because he was responsible for turning video games into an industry larger than both movies and music combined as far as global revenue is concerned. He changed everybodies opinion of gaming from geeky hobby to mainstream phenomenon and he catapulted Sony ahead of consumer electronic giants Panasonic, Sanyo and Hitachi despite Sony's price disadvantage. Hitachi effectively left the industry as a result of the revenue hit and now simply licence the brand name on products. A long time of extremely good results for Sony and turning heads across every major company on the planet, even Steve Jobs and Bill Gates admired him. He retired as Honorary Chairman which carried the most powerful decision making role in Sony Corp. with the company facing backruptcy, an analogy to Swansea facing relegation under Laudrup. Ken didn't retire on his accord, he was pushed to go because a short stint of disaster meant he had to go and it matters not how abruptly his end was concluded. It is silly and bad for business for our board to have let Laudrup continue, he didn't have the decency of Ken to retire when pushed.
