Summer 2014 Transfer rumour thread - Part II

Definitely need 2 attacking players. One centre forward and one winger/attacking midfielder. A goalkeeper and centre back would be nice as well.

 

Gk,cb,attacking mid and striker. I think we will get them all as well.

 

It's pretty clear where we have a lack of depth I think. Central defence and up front are definitely in need of reinforcements. Goalkeeper area could be improved if one is available but Boruc is pretty dependable and I still think Gazzaniga can be an adequate backup. I guess the likely retirement of Davis means we could do with another one though. A proper winger would be a good addition, which would add another dimension to our game.

Other than that, it depends on who goes out really.

 

We need another Rodriguez-positioned attacker/winger/forward...thing. Obviously for depth and because Rodriguez might not be back to full form until 2015, but also he's not the most consistent and we could do with someone to throw on and make an impact.

 

I do agree with this, This the main Priority Attacking wise for me!

 

Why isn't McGeady playing for them? I thought he was supposed to be pretty decent, and plays pretty much that position.

Oh wait I thought he was on loan from Spartak still, ok forget it we won't be signing him.

 

I have never really rated him tbh.

 

One of these and another down the middle striker too (Rickie may need nursing through some of next season) and a CB

 

Rickie is in great form...luckily players last longer than they used to...but he needs to have a striker to play behind. JRod may miss a chunk of next season.

 

Lambert even said himself he expects to play back up a lot next season.

He'd probably like to, been rather overworked this season!

Rickie needs to play less next season.

 

He's better at this than Adam. Hopefully the lads gave him a good kicking in the dressing room.

 

Was Adam questioned on this?

 

Yeah after the game he was asked if he was looking to move in the summer and he said he would have to sit down and work it out after the season has finished

 

Gave us less than a ringing endorsement...said he is waiting till the summer when asked about speculation surrounding him.

And it wasn't a mistake because they asked him again later thinking they had misunderstood.
