A big well done to Garry Monk and the boys for getting our first back to back win in over 17 months! Emnes again getting another penalty for running at defenders, please Huw sign him permanently this summer and please do not sell Bony!...........<cheers>

PS: It was never going to be the best of games for us possession wise as Lambert knows how to disrupt our game with high pressing, but credit to Monk for getting the result, lets just scoop up the remaining points left from the last two games. I can see Monk getting the managers job!.............<ok>

strange tho fantastic game - maybe the surface water affected our usual play, but Villa played some good passing football, the Villans certainly didn't deserve to lose 4-1. however who cares, we owed this to Lambert and Holt. Safety assured, we've ridden our luck well the last two weeks, but pls Huw pls do reconsider Monk's appointment, our luck can't last.

Some right negative stuff on here considering we just won 4-1 and almost certainly secured another season n the world's top league.

And get nothing. I'll happily take that performance every week if it means a 4-1 win.

Sorry about being negative. Maybe we should just say how great we are all the time. <doh>

Let's not get carried away. A flattering result against a piss poor side that hadn't won away since Jan 1, and we actually made them look very good at times. An offside goal and a wonder goal were the things that swung it. So we were not great but as others have said it's the result that counts at this time of the season more than any other time. We probably deserved to win it as with all their possession Vorm wasn't tested much.

Well done and credit to Monk and the players. At last a win against Lambert. <ok>

    http://www.goalsarena.org/en/video/...ague/26-04-2014-swansea-city-aston-villa.html

We weren't at our best today but who cares , Villa looked sharper ,moved the ball quicker & crisply ,certainly in the first half and their overall procession stats back that up , we seemed to be ill prepared for the pitch conditions with a few players looking like they were running on ice ( Pablo was the worse culprit ) .Blades ffs . The
Good result which imo didn't flatter us , we created a bucket load of clear chances whereas Villas's were snatched efforts with only one save from Vorm of any note. They couldn't break down our defence which shows a desire from our defenders not to be beaten .Not the most fluid of performances but a much needed & deserved result

Really? We were very lucky in both games.

We've gone from playing well and losing/drawing to playing badly and winning.
