Typical Town finish to the season.... Lacklustre!

Ah well we start again in August with the same hope and dreams!

Warky, that was the first time I have seen Town play this season and I know it is unfair to judge them one just one game, but they looked seriously void of ideas going forward, and nearly as dangerous as Norwich have been most of this season. Was this a case of the Burnley defence being better than most in the league, or something else?

There was no urgency today and a total lack of urgency which is surprising from a McCarthy team! We lack a lot of quality which is glaringly obvious but Burnley were there for the taking and if we had showed a bit more desire we would have won! Good luck to Burnley but they will seriously struggle next year!

I suspect you may be right, I don't see their strikers scoring for fun next season.

The thing that makes me laugh the most is that they got presented with a Trophy and medals after the game for finishing Second! <doh> What the fook has the world come to?

Yeah, I heard the PA guy at the ground announce the presentation. Mind you, if Town finished 2nd, I guess you would stay behind to clap them as they paraded a trophy for it?

More of the 'fat kid' getting a ribbon or medal for coming last in a race train of thought <ok>

Of course I would clap the players but to get a trophy is just embarrassing!

They are not worth the Zinc alloy they were made with! Leicester are worthy champions and they should be the only team to get presented with a trophy and medals! Hey oh maybe I'm getting far too old for all this new fangled football malarkey! <laugh>

How is it different from the beaten team in a cup final getting a runners up medal? Or even someone winning a silver and bronze at the Olympics? Just be cause Leicester won it doesn't mean other achievement shouldn't be recognised.

11:30 so not too bad, Worse for Vietnam C, as I guess that might be at least an hour later.

Because it's a recent thing I guess. I am kind of inclined to agree, as if the play-off winners can get a trophy (possibly having finished in 6th place), then why not.

Sorry for being old fashioned but I would have thought that promotion to the premier league is reward enough! <ok>

There's a difference between reward and acknowledgment.

I will agree the trophy is a bit much.
