IF Osman hadn't gone down before the contact it's a stonewall penalty. As he starts going down BEFORE the contact it's simulation and Lovren's 'foul' is inconsequential. The ref must have been so sure, he gave it almost instantly.
End of the match - 2-0 in the favour of Southampton FC. End of. Oh, I quite like this end of thing. Makes me feel more masculine.
The first was stretched out to the side and the second was above his head. You need to pay closer attention. It's irrelevant if the ball was fired at him from close range; his hands should not have been there.
But Victor was slightly better (imo etc) so it settles it once and for all, take a hike Jacky. EDIT: End of.
Cork and Wanyama were excellent together, Cork showed he can play the Schneiderlin role with ease. And while Clyne fully deserved his MOTM, any other day Davis should have had it, he was fantastic. Should have scored though!
Yep. It has always been a bit of a wonder to me why posters don't think of that combination. I suppose it's because people say Wanyama and Cork play the same game but in their style. So they can adapt.
Lallana: "I am just looking forward to the last two games. We will sit down in the summer and see what happens next."
There had better be a lot of chairs available. Seems like everyone needs to do some sitting down this summer.
The 3 points we got today is what I expected from the last 3 games, so anything we get in next 2 games is a bonus. The lack of goals is a worry, scored by us I mean.
Lallana and Clyne both making the point that, with the right investment the squad feel they can break the top six. They need to wait and see what happens this summer, they're also saying.
Good game, we rode our luck a bit, but we've been due some so I'm not going to complain. Clyne MOTM; Cork, Wanyama and Davis were also excellent. Looking for a new contract perhaps?
