I thought it was mathematically impossible for us to get 3rd place, due to goal difference. I like the predicted line up but I'd replace Barton with Yossi, if fit, because I'd pick the player in form. Or drop Carroll and have Barton there, with Yossi on the right?
We can still get 3rd place in the unlikely event of Derby losing both games and we win both of ours. As for the starting line up, I'm pretty sure everyone will have their own opinion on what it should be. With so many players coming back from injury it's a bit like spinning plates deciding who needs to play to gain match fitness and who needs resting, but still putting out a competitive side capable of winning. It's good that we now have plenty of options. The formation you picked was what also one of my considerations.
I can't quite believe that no one mentions Hoilett after the way he has played recently. Would none of you have him in the team?
I'd start him but hasn't he got a recurring niggly injury problem? When I put up a starting formation it's not necessarily my own choice but a combination of what I'd like and what I think Harry will go for. Hoilett while hampered is better coming out of the sub-shack presently.
BBC website reporting Austin could be rested for the playoffs. I can see the benefit but does he need match practice
Only about 15k tickets sold for today including away fans, normally last home game would be sold out especially going into the playoffs, shows the 'millwall effect'.
26/04/2014 By West London Sport QPR boss Harry Redknapp will make a late decision on whether to select out-of-form defender Richard Dunne for today’s derby against Millwall. Dunne, 34, has struggled in recent matches and Redknapp plans to rest him for at least one of Rangers’ two remaining games before the play-offs. He explained: “We’ve been discussing it. Dunny certainly needs a rest, whether it’s against Millwall or next week. I will look to rest him at some stage. “When he came in at the start of the year he hadn’t played all last year. We thought ‘if we get 20 or 25 games out of him it’s going to be great for us’ and he’s played almost every game. “He has been fantastic. I doubt the supporters of teams in League 1 would agree! I can't agree with the formation, it looks far too organised. Couldn't you shuffle the players around a bit and come up with something totally haphazard?
That's a good point re. League one teams. I'll buy everyone a pint if Harry starts with my line up. It wouldn't surprise me if he starts Keane up front with Traore on the right wing and Gary O'Neil on the left.
