Nah, we just had too much dead weight and average players in our team. In 10 years we never managed to sign one world class player, which says it all. Our best players of the 90s were Owen, Fowler and McManaman. I couldn't name you a single player that we bought in the 90s that performed to a world class level. That's just shameful considering we were supposed to at the very least challenge for the title each year.

Collymore had the ability to be a very good player for you but I'm not sure what went wrong there. I remember seeing him score a cracking goal for you, it was either on his debut or one of his first few games at least, and I was a bit worried.
