I can watch that Walcott goal against Newcastle last season all day. What a goal that was from little Theo. As for this game, we really ought to be trashing these.
I fear a total embarrassment. Even more than the 'performances' we've endured in the last 4 months and in the 7-3 stuffing your boys gave ours last year. This could truly be horrendous. I even put £1 bets on: 3-0, 4-0, 4-1, 5-0, 5-1, 6-0, 6-1 and 7-0 just to help soften the blow if those come true. Could get back a fair bit - especially for those last 4 scorelines. Plus I added a cheeky little £1 on a 1-0 Toon win (just for laughs and the 25/1 odds). Anyway, best of luck. I really hope you qualify for CL, as the football your boys have played - especially in the first half of the season - has been immense and a total joy to watch. I know it's probably been frustrating seeing them slip from 1st to 4th, but in footballing terms, this season has had some of the best I've ever seen. And it could be worse, you could be a Toon fan. You're more than welcome over to our match day thread too.
Good question. From my point of view, he doesn't seem to have the dressing room and he doesn't appear to have any tactical awareness. He can't motivate players and can't change a game. He seems to have lost the players and fans alike. His lack of ability and constant (lame) excuses and inability to take any personal responsibility is frustrating everyone. Almost all fans I know (myself included) now want him out. And I've never been an advocate for sacking managers 'willy nilly' like some nowadays. His days really should be numbered. The head-butt debacle should have seen him exit, even if poor performance hadn't BUT he still seems has the backing of Mike Ashley (that's a whole other story). So I think he might well still be here next season. Despite what we want.
I think he should have been sacked after the head butt. You also had the farce of the Joe Kinnear appointment.
If we don't win this by at least 2, we should feel disappointed. They clearly don't give a toss right now.
