Just to put it straight, I have never been an "in the know" poster, but was part of an interesting conversation with some other supporters at the game on Monday.

The word on the street (upper loft block NU) is that Harry will see out the final year of his contract next season (based on him earning too much money to leave and being too old for anyone to offer anything else in the south) AND that Tim Sherwood will join him as his right - hand man......an apprenticeship in a way, leaving him to take the reigns at the start of the following season.

This would also bring Sir Les and co back to QPR as a first team coach.

Any milage in this? Sounds interesting to me.

That makes no sense, wed still be paying 2 managers. We might as well sack him and bring a proper manager in, it won't be more expensive that way.

We have a protégé in the obvious shape of Kevin Bond I fully expect him to take over next season although this will not sit well with some on here, it will go a long way to stabilizing our club something that the board are craving. In time I am sure he will be his own man and make a decent manager and we won't have to make wholesale changes to the backroom staff.

Can't believe this has not been mentioned before!

I don't think Sherwood's stock has dropped significantly since he took over - Spurs have been left stranded by the good form of Everton and, particularly, Liverpool who have moved away from them.

Don't see him playing second fiddle to Harry.

I'd also dread another McClaren situation where other teams' owners headhunt our back room staff so that they can be catapulted ahead of us in the league.

Not an improbable scenario. Could think of worst scenarios. He has a good youth commitment too, which is something we desperately need - especially with a few of the up and coming youngsters we have.

It sounds a likely scenario to me, though I would much prefer it with Arry out yesterday, and Sherwood in as the Manager straight away. But then there are probably 14 732 other Managers with training staff I'd prefer to what we have today.

Do I remember Harry grooming Steve Cotterill or did I dream it?

I can't help think that McLaren leaving was our 'turning point' for the season.

Sherwood is very green. I hope he learns quickly but since he's stepped up to Management he's been very naive in a number of areas, particularly in dealing with the press. Sometimes when I hear his interviews I wonder is he just inexperienced or is he actually a little bit thick?

Hopefully its the former and he cops on quickly but it wouldn't be the first time a former professional footballer was a bit on the slow side.

It just shows what a bit of tactics, training and preparation can do.

If I could choose a manager from a rival Championship side, other than those already promoted, I'd go for either McClaren, Howe or Rosler. The thought of Sherwood doesn't quicken the pulse in the same way.

The thing is though, the grass ain't always greener. People saying another Manager would've done better than Redknapp would have been looking towards the likes of McDermott prior to the season starting and look where he is now. Down in 16th place with MASSIVE. Another would have been Nigel Adkins who, whilst doing very well at the moment having Reading in the top six, is still below us and far from assured of a Playoff place.

This season's hot and up coming Manager is next season's also ran. Many of them have a great first season and then sink without a trace. Owen Coyle has done nothing but relegate Bolton and fu*k up Wigan since he brought Burnley up. What's Phil Brown done since he brought Hull up to the Premier League? Last I heard was he was sacked from bloody Preston North End!

Y'all just be careful what you wish for....

You are only person to have remarked on my post surprisingly, however I think this will be the case and it is only my opinion. But it has been several years since he was in charge and you would like to think he would have gained a lot more experience since then!

By the way your remarks about taking Bournemouth down are a little unfair as they were in administration at the time and suffered heafty points deductions.

Bond is part of the dinosaur trio, with Harry and Jordan.

    No thanks!!

Would still rather have Hoddle with a plan to run the club from top to bottom playing the right way and given a clear period of time to implement it...

A couple of years ago I'd have been right on board with this but he's been oyut of the game for a bit now. Do we think he's stuill got the knowledge of lower league players etc to improve us?
Personally i like him but im unsure at our level.
Aslo, why would he? hasnt got anything left to prove to anyone?

As for Sherwood...not overly excited but may turn out ok
