The Academy needs direction again, especially after being run down by Bates over the last 10-years. We got rid of our academy director who was snapped up by Man City and he took his number 2 with him from Leeds. This pair have poached every decent kid from Yorkshire as they had all the contacts for all boys clubs and schools. I believe Massimo has a lot of time for Redders so dont expect anyone to go, just get a new addition to give purpose and meaning again. Imagine if we opened up the education department again so that we took boarders, and opened the medical center again, and opened up all the buildings that have been closed down and pitches unused ...... Could we be looking at going for Cat 1 A category again to put us back with the big boys. After all we invented something that everyone used as a blueprint for academies.
I agree Doc - This guy joining doesn't mean it is someone out the door, that's if he does join, it was just an interview so I believe?
