NEWCASTLE MEET WITH REPS OF SUNDERLAND BOSMAN COLBACK Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 04/24/2014 - 12:08 Newcastle United are in Bosman talks with Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback. The Journal says Newcastle have been made aware of Colbackâs availability and had a fresh round of talks with the Sunderland midfielderâs agent earlier this month. There is interest from the Magpies in taking a player who would replace the outgoing Dan Gosling in the first-team group.
So long as we don't keep De Jong (who I was expecting to be decent but really has looked poor) I'll be a touch appeased when we lose Remy. If he was staying it would be done by now, I don't blame him for not wanting to stay as the team lacks any heart or leadership. Colo seems almost immune from criticism nowadays but leadership from the back through players like Colo, Krul, Tiote and Sissoko should be a given but isn't. If they can't be arsed then why should a loan player care? Our season ended in January when Cardiff beat us and since then we've been waiting for the summer to see which way Mike Ashley decides the wind is going to blow - suspect we all know it wont be pretty. I don't expect sympathy but try not to gloat too much at how many of the star signings we 'try to sign' we end up 'failing to get across the line'. I don't think we've actually signed a first team player for well over a year now - has any other team in the premiership ever done that?
If he honestly wants to go be a squad player at Newcastle then he's gone down massively in my estimation
i've said it once mate and i'll say it again, if fire knackers is even contemplating and/or goes there and i see him about i will kick him straight in the pips

I don't know why we're not doing everything possible to keep Colback. We always look better when he plays. He's one of those unglamorous players who oils the engine and keeps the team ticking over.
Really? Seems like he's picked up where he's left off to me. He makes Jozy look confident. No goals in 30 for him now isn't it? At least you haven't paid 6 million for the useless ****.
The Newcastle journal posts a story about one of our players days before a massive game for the club. This will be because they have nothing to report on the **** ship which is sinking slowly north of the Tyne! A club with nothing to play for and looking, currently, like one of the worst in the league!! I reckon this may have happened, but there is no way that a paper should be aware of it with games still to be played
