No worries, work got in the way of me hitting the post button! Lol - at least we can get to read both
In fact I can't recall us beating any of the sides above us all season, home or away, with the exception of Liverpool way back in September. Would be good to end that dismal run, though given our current form I can't really see it.
To be fair, I was hoping my short career as a football writer would be short lived! To go back on topic, I can see us going one down then 3 second half goals from SRL and Roy running on the pitch at the end with a plane ticket for him.
Just warning you, I will be pulling my hair out with frustration if I see a second goalless draw in a row!
Mirallas has been frustrating and in and out of the side of late, so he's not a massive loss, as we have Deulofeu to come in for him, who can be equally frustrating at times, but has bags of talent (and pace) Distin is a huge loss though, been solid all season and defies his age. Alcaraz alongside young Stones is a slight concern tbh. Lukaku's due a goal though. Anyway, you've got **** all to play for, so can you just gift us the points from your sunloungers please.
What we have to play for is: 1. Finishing in our equal-highest position (8th). 2. Beating our highest points total in the Prem (52 since it went to 20 clubs). 3. Beating someone other than Liverpool who are above us. 4. Wiping out the memory of Adrian bloody Heath robbing us of a spot in the 1984 FA Cup final. Actually, it will take more than beating you on Saturday to do that, we would have to win 8-0! Anyway, all the best for the rest of your games, hope you can get over losing 8-0 on Saturday and qualify for the CL despite it!
OMG yes, I may have to hope for a better result if you're with me. Still, it's only a short drive to Winchester.
