I note that none of the 'so called' experts have included Cleverley.

Yeah, if Jay wasn't injured he'd be a certainty in the squad over Welbeck.

If we all picked a 'B squad' as well, I wonder how many would find room for Cleverley in theirs? I suspect he'd just miss out in mine to someone like Delph, although I'd need to have a think.

Flanagan has been very impressive this year and has been very much apart of Liverpool's 1o wins in a row or whatever it is.

I can't believe people are putting Lescott in!

You can't have seen him play much if you're so willing to diss him.

22 appearances this season, btw, and pretty much ever present for the past 3 months. And he can defend, unlike Johnson and Walker.

    This. And this.

What actually happened to Lescott? He had a really good Euros last time around partnering Terry at CB. When Terry packed it in I thought he'd have started a partnership with Cahill (grow up, people) What's happened to him since then?

You can't believe people are choosing Flanagan... yet you picked Caulker?

Has he really played that many times? Well blow me, maybe he does deserve a place then, i genuinely thought he'd only just reached double figures or something

Best of a bad bunch at CB after Jagielka, Cahill and Curtis, certainly not entertaining the thought of Smalling in my squad

For whatever reason he's gone downhill faster than Franz Klammer. Not sure why.

Good point, don't think I'd be very good at this management business somehow.

We all know Rooney will be in there - and if his mind is on it he should be - but by God, does he need a kick up the backside. I wouldn't be averse to leaving him out if he's not in the right frame of mind.

I've been working on my 'B' squad, and Cleverley has indeed missed out...

    Ruddy
    Butland
    Green

    Flanagan
    Walker
    Cole
    Gibbs
    Caulker
    Dawson
    Smalling
    Stones

    Lampard
    Barry
    Thudd
    Delph

    A Johnson
    Lennon
    Townsend
    Redmond

    Carroll
    Defoe
    Agbonlahor
    Crouch

Standby: Stockdale, Clyne, Lescott, Rose, Cleverley, Noble, Osman, Morrison, Noone, Berahino
