I'll be in India for the next couple of matches, long shot but do they show football games over there? more of a cricket nation (I'll be trying to get to an IPL game)
"While the city is still referred to as Bombay by some of its residents and Indians from other regions, mention of the city by a name other than Mumbai has been controversial, resulting in emotional outbursts sometimes of a violently political nature." Sounds like some of the cloth cap brigade when Humberside gets mentioned
It's clearly relating to any place name containing the letter combination 'umb'. NorthUMBerland or NorthUMBria for example?
Yeah mate, it's all over the place. I work out in Pune quite often, 3 hours east of Mumbai by road, and they're pretty mad on football out there. Wherever you're staying you'll likely have a Tata sky box, which will have sports packages on, you'll be able to watch any premier match basically, whilst most of the malls out there will now have a sports bar of some kind, but they'll most likely be playing the IPL matches if they've only got one screen for the next 5 weeks. The ****hede stadium is ****ing miles outside of the centre of Mumbai by the way, so make sure you're getting there with someone who nows their way around if you go to a game
You'd think that a nation with so many English speakers would have managed to avoid coming up with the name ****hede Stadium.
It sounds like the pro name change scum bags. Does anyone know where to get some good old Mumbai Duck from? Lovely stuff...
smells like fish and tastes like chicken!! thats what old fellas used to say to me about ermmmm.......errrr.......well yunno!!!!
