OK so they may not have anything to do with football but those who know me will be well aware that even my football threads quickly turn to dog sex and abuse, no idea why.

But emails and spam in particular, do yours change with age?

When I was younger we did not have emails so our spam came out on Sundays when Aunty Nelly came a visiting, Sundays were all about visitors to us or me and my sister being dragged off for a fun filled day sitting quiet and not showing them,(my parents), up at some dreary Aunt and Uncles.

My emails started in my 50’s and tended to offer me things like, Equity Release, Retirement Planning, Saving Schemes.

By my late 50’s I was no longer being offered these things it was, How to release cash from my pension, again Equity Release, Zero Interest Credit Cards, Dating Sites for the chance to meet that special person, Cheap Viagra, I assume in case I did meet her and holidays for single people.

Now in my 60’s it seems I no longer need Viagra or that special person, they are no more. My Equity is all released and the dating sites have admitted defeat.

Now all I am good for is a daily mail from Michael Parkinson who is guaranteeing me life cover and giving me a free sat nav, just in case I go out and a cash loan to see me till pay day. If I get my finger out and apply before 2 I can have the cash today, I’m tempted, why? Well it says I don’t have to pay the cash back until my next payday and I am retired, I don’t have pay days just pension days, does that mean I get to keep the money?

The sat nav could help you find your way to heaven when that time arises. Or knowing sat navs you may end up in a completely different place!
