I would be a liar to say I have never sworn in front of my daughter,if I was quoting a piece of dialogue from film where **** was used I would say it but I never use it in every day conversation. My mother who is 83 has sworn in front of me when guoting something, now that is embarrassing
Always funnier to see someone who doesn't swear, swear. Same here, but swearing in normal conversation is just scummy.
The other thing with my mother is her casual racism even though she's not racist If you know what I mean.
Yes i know what you mean. But that is more down to the times than anything else. I'm guessing she isn't a massive fan of the English....
It's 10% of capacity up to a ceiling of 3,000. As for our attendances, we need a bigger ground but our slightly bonkers owner has fallen out with the owner of the stadium and it's stopped any expansion, at least for now(our average attendance is only 800 below actual capacity and that's mainly down to away fans not taking their full allocation). We took over 40,000 to Wembley for the play-off final, there's plenty of City fans that would love to be at Wembley but won't get a ticket, it's not just you lot.
Whilst I agree it is hilarious when someone who normally would never swear does (I remember hearing my gran say **** when she cut herself making a sandwich years ago and absolutely pissed myself!), I think it's a load of judgmental nonsense to suggest swearing has no place in conversation and is scummy. You sound like a right pretentious twat. Any use of the English language is dependant on the situation, the people and the intention behind the words. To decide a whole range of words are scummy and shouldn't be used is ridiculous. They have there place. And they are just words.
Using the word **** in my signature on a football forum is a hell of a lot different to swearing in front of my daughter or mother.
It goes back to the days when the FA Cup final was the showpiece of the season. All teams who entered the cup were given an allocation to the final (they still do)as part of the football family.Something that shows the importance once placed on the FA Cup is the Matthews final of 1953.In those days much was made of the fact that Stanley Matthews had never won a cup winners medal even though nothing was made of the fact that Matthews never won a champions winner's medal.
The entire stadium should be 50/50 Arsenal/Hull fan split evenly. And the fans should sit alternating throughout the entire stadium. One Arsenal fan, one Hull, one Arsenal, one Hull etc. Imagine the banter
