So IF we believe Joses mind games and he fields a weakened team (still probably worth more money than our team) and we go onto win the match - that one match has so much significance that it taints our title (IF we maange to get another 4 points from our other 2 games)? So one game can taint a title - yeah? Hasn't it crossed your mind that IF we win the title we have been the better team throughout the season, and deserve some credit for what we may achieve? You have been good , but you've hardly played compared to your rivals. Heaps easier when you watch Tuesday and Thursday nights and see your rivals playing quarters and semis and running themselves into the ground.
Pretty sure I speak for every Liverpool fan when I say we could care less what anyone else thinks, if we win the league that's all that will matter. You won't hear one complaint if you play a weakened team and we win, cos really I could care less about what team Chelsea field, I'm more worried about if we will win or not, not what kind of mind-games you and Jose try to play.
Why on Earth would any team do something to reduce their chances of winning the game? Not to mention 3000 Chelsea fans having to re-arrange transport, policing arrangements, television and a whole array of other things. If the boot was on the other foot I can't believe Mourinho/Chelsea would rush to aid Liverpool's CL hopes. Seems like the latest excuse from JM. Sunday-Wednesday is no different to Saturday-Tuesday which wouldn't have required any discussion.
If I remember correctly, that was scheduled to be on the Hillsborough anniversary date. It had nothing to do with them not wanting to help us out.
