Good news - I'm going to stay positive on Diaby. Ramsey had many setbacks after his one injury, it is to be expected that Diaby's setbacks would be tripled. He may have a small chance of a full recovery, but it really does cost us very little to support him, and hope for the best for him, and should he come good, I at least will get a big kick out of it.

It costs us a lot. The insurance company paying him make their money from people like us and our premiums ;)

I know this'll sound harsh, but we should just cut our losses. He's never going to completely heal, the difference between Ramsey and Diaby is that Ramsey is younger anf actually managed to overcome his injury, Diaby's been trying for the last few years but it never lasts.

And crucially, a lot of Diaby's injuries have little to do with that major injury he got, the guy is just made of glass unfortunately.

He actually got 3 impact tackles, all nearly as bad as Ramsey's, I posted pictures of them in a different thread. Making out that he somehow broke down for no reason is doing him a great disservice.

But even so, if you look at a chart of his injuries, a lot of them actually have very little to do with the "impact tackles" he received. If there's a part of your body to injury, chances are Diaby's suffered from it.

I thought I had read somewhere that his injuries had lead to muscle imbalances that have repeatedly hampered his attempts to overcome his injuries. Or something along those lines. I don't really remember, he has been injured so often all the different articles have just blended in my head into one long sad confused story!

I really do hope he is able to overcome his injury problems as he has everything needed to be a very good player.

If he is fit enough we may well see him make an appearance at some point before the end of the season. I'd quite like to see a midfield of diaby Ramsey and ozil.

I remember there where some quotes recently with him saying he wanted to try and be fit for the World Cup so if he does play a part I think he will be raring to go.

I thought for a second that Diaby did a Benjamin Button and became younger, hence him playing for the under 21's. I won't get too excited about Diaby until he plays a few games in a row. Until then, we should assume we are one player down.

Yes, but I already made the point that even Ramsey suffered from these kind of "ripple effect" injuries and he only suffered 1 horrific tackle. I am no expert on injury recovery, but it seems logical to me that this kind of protracted recovery isn't entirely unexpected.

i think he that since his last set back he has donated his wages to charity, so good luck to him.

every club has a "sick note" and he is ours x

That's the thing with Diaby though, i don't think there's one gooner who wouldn't like him to overcome his injuries, but it's just that mos of us know deep down that it's very unlikely. If he was going to heal, he would have by now.

He has healed twice already - then got re-crocked by impact challenges.

Football is a physical game, if he can't handle a challenge if he's supposedly recovered, then he shouldn't have been playing.

Really, Ramsey shouldn't be playing because he couldn't resist Shawcross' challenge? Really!!!!!?

I was being very specific when I said "Impact tackles". These injuries were nasty. There was very little he could have done to resist/avoid them. Since then, maybe, but then the Ramsey point holds good. Point being, I don't think the campaign labelling him a sick note is profitable in any way, or shows any merit.

But again, you miss my point. Diaby is getting injuries totally unrelated to impact tackles.

To use a crude analogy, imagine if Diaby was filming a porno, he'd somehow manage to get a spine injury halfway through it.

Could be worse though, Giroud would turn up at the wrong location...

Diabys problems were partly down to our inept coaching.

Before his last major injury I remember reading he had an underdeveloped left leg. ( they compared it to the leg of a 12 year old.)

He shouldn't be playing until he is physically strong enough.

Much like RVP Diaby just needs someone to fully rehab him. He needs 1 to 1 strength and mobility work over a prolonged period of time.

I honestly think that the tackles he has received fully explain his problems without having to search for anything else. Didn't I read that the report you are referring to was discredited because the guy was trying to get Arsenal to buy into some scheme of his.
