I noticed that lad in the game the other day when he scored at the death - West Brom I think it was? Certainly looks very promising. Is he likely start or come on as an impact sub?
From my musings with the Blues..they reckon they are good at set pieces..so taking into account our lack of a defence at corners..need I say more. I very tough game on Sunday, let's hope the best team on the day wins (please let it be us) and please please we do not want the stupid ref deciding the game.
Only wednesday and the stomach is starting to churn ,only one thing to do ..port and brandy a good steadier.
PDC - the lad started in our last one against Stoke and ran rings around them for the first 30 minutes of each half - after that he seemed to tire. He joined us in January aged 18 and has just turned 19 - I think he needs some more stamina training to build him up. He's very slight, but boy can he dribble a football. Quick feet and a quick mind makes him very difficult to dispossess unless a defender gets reckless. That what I meant about your guys lunging in if he frustrates them. He has been likened to a young David Silva, and if that's right, he'll be worth a season ticket alone. I think OGS may well start him again to worry you at the back rather than a more defensive player like his compatriot Eikrem who joined us at the same time. Whether he's there from the start or comes on later, he will definitely get some pitch time - have a look at him.
I'm too long in the tooth and have seen too many missed opportunities already this campaign to even try and predict Sundays game tbh. All I hope for is that all our team, squad, manager and especially our fans all turn up from second one on Sunday. We need one mighty push in this one to make sure, whatever the game turns out to be like, a win at all costs. If we win I truly believe momentum will carry us through the day to safety. Draw and the mountain gains height. Lose and we are relegated. However, I do believe I have stated that we were doomed after the west ham game too so what the **** do I know anyway. Lol
Speaking of your wingers that Craig Noone looks a canny player? Pacey winger who's not scared to bomb up the wing and get involved?
Very true pal, but you wont be troubled by him on Sunday - nor will anyone else this campaign. Out for the season with a stomach injury. He was sent to America a fortnight back to try to sort it, but apparently from what we've been told, it's a no go. Zaha should have been the answer, but in all honesty, he provides more questions than answers - not convinced at all by hm.
