I would prefer someone with no connection to the club to be honest. Fresh set of eyes and ears. Alex Ferguson regularly changed assistants. It could be a good thing imo. Id still have larsson or sutton or someone who played as a striker coaching the forwards though
Sadly that's also the names Lennon probably got in mind too. I would love to see Lawwell's face if Lennon was to suggest Balde starts getting another wage!
Exactly! Douglas as well, they've already got Stevie Woods. Larsson is a manager in his own right and has repeatedly stated that he wants to learn his trade on his own terms, which should be applauded. Scott Brown, just
It's about time we started aiming a bit higher, so my choice is Steve Guppy, flying winger and ex England international.
What's wrong with promoting Peter Houston? Although no doubt we'll get the usual spastics saying "Naw, no Houston he pyoor criticised Neil Lennon wance in an interview" The same spastics who were saying the other day that Hartson shouldn't get to be at the last game of the season to present the trophy because he writes for The Sun
Good call. Kennedy and stevie frail are highly rated by the club. Might be best leaving them where they are given they are doing a good job but got to be worth considering
Exactly this Houston has experience as an assistant in the SPL and with Scotland and he won a Scottish Cup with United. No matter your personal opinion on the guy he's got the tools required and he's already employed by the club.
I'm not sure what he's up to now, or whether he'd be interested in taking up an assistant role again but I would go for Steve Clarke.
Be a good replacement but can't see it really. I think they will promote from within so either Kennedy or Houston are most likely.
Bomber. That was some entertainment on the steps of Ibrox, absolute classic, just another hilarious moment in a long list. Like a pished Aldo, slurring, pointing and screaming at Mrs Aldo when he gets in from the pub at 01:30AM. "Who buyz rae pies, me ya shlag, my money, maaa giro"
