It maybe a bit early but there seems to a lack of ITK's around ,where have they gone. I love a good conspiracy about who's going where and how they found out. What say you fellow Spurs fans?
The reason they're not on here is because everyone here seems to frown on the ITK thing. It's only a laugh. I tried to start an ITK thread only for it to get shot down by other members branding it beneath them. If any of you guys still like that sort of thing, i recommend checking this page everyday. If people want to make suggestions for signings or discuss possible transfers that the media have rumoured, then I don't think anyone would mind. Pretending to have some kind of inside information is just ridiculous though and those that do are like the astrologers of the forum world. PleaseNotPoll I'd disagree with that. Personally, in some respects, i'm on your side. A lot of the ITK does drift into the ridiculous a lot but i've seen it hit right on the money before, quite a few times. You learn there are some posters to listen to, others to laugh at. Do you remember the whole Corluka debacle with Man City? Every single media outlet said Man City had pulled the plug on the deal and that there was no chance of it happening. There was one lone voice saying the deal was done and that Man City have no choice but to sell as the registration had been completed. That voice was ValenciaYid. About a week later, the papers backtracked and reported he'd signed for spurs. I understand a lot of it is a load of crap but so are a lot of media rumours. How can you give credibility to the papers but not the ITK's. As far as i'm concerned, it's just a bit of fun during the off season. It's up to you whether you believe it or not, the same as it is for the papers.
Val said a couple of accurate things, the Sandro deal being the main one that I remember and he was way, way early on that one, but the vast majority of them just make it all up. Why call it In The Know if you're not actually in the know? Too many attention seekers and nutcases, for my liking. Like you say though, it's up to you how you take it.
It was just a joke comment to start off with, but more and more people got on board to help it run, even backing up photographic evidence - people (insiders) offering fake email addresses for a pic that FAB's cousin had with a player (can't even remember his name now ) outside WHL, the randomers made it the success it was, and by the end of the day almost the whole of 606 was convinced it was legit
The funniest one, aside from Paxton Steward, is a more recent one known as Adiepf. This guy is a serious Jonah. If ever you don't want spurs to sign a player, double check to see if Adiepf has posted that the deal is "100%. Done" and you can rest assured that Spurs aren't even in the market for the player. He's never got anything right, yet when other members have the audacity to disagree with any bit of information he gets, he throws his dummy out and runs off like a big girl. It's absolutely hilarious! The one doing the round on the circuit at the moment is that we're in for Rossi, according to POTL, a much more respected if irritatingly cryptic ITK.
I'd take all that with a pinch of salt about Rossi. I just cannot for the life of me see why he'd want to join us. Think about it. He's probably on more than we could offer, has Champions League football in the bag and has been courted by Barcelona. To me it reeks of those old pipe dreams we used to all have about Eto'o. There was one summer many years ago when everyone thought we had a chance to sign him. Think it's best to lean on the pessimistic side to avoid disappointment. I think we'll sign Leandro though.
I know we all have a dig at ITKs, but at the end of the day we all take it as nothing more than a laugh. There were some cracking ITK stories over on the BBC 606. The easiest fans to wind up were the City fans, because they genuinely believe that they can buy any one.
That's the tragedy. They can. Although it's empty success. If i had the money i could have the best looking girl in the world on my arm, doesn't mean she's gonna fancy me.
To be fair Epileptic, they're unlikely to find that Tevez has been sleeping with Tiger Woods on the side..
