In fact, you could probably make a team of chav loan players that costs more than the Liverpool first team!
Mourinho always speaks like a loser and then claims it was a mind game all along if he happens to win He's a specialist in excusing failure
His words should be enough to earn him a rebuke BEFORE the match Dave. This debate has been had many times over the years, but usually involving sides at the other end of the table, this is the first time I can remember a potential title decider (involving one the contenders ffs!) being spoken about like it's a fixture of little importance. Incredible really.
I agree with tobes really. If he did it v city we'd be raging However perhaps just a bit of tobes not bring happy it is they play... Though in fairness to you tobes I think you'd say the same if they were playing someone not involved. (Though if it were city you'd be winding us up which is fair rough too) I think though he's just mouthing off and realistically his weakened team is not really kids is it. The bench might be that but the 11 will be ok
Just saying if you drop points against Southampton and Arsenal beat Newcastle then the slightest hint of a weakened team against Man City and I want Martinez nailed. Only fair, right?
What SHOULD and what WILL happen are 2 different things. I would be tempted to say that he has already brought the IFMA, The Premiership and Chelsea FC in to disrepute. However, nothing is going to happen - not even a mild rebuke. The man has no class. I truly hope Rodgers uses his words to wind up the boys so that we truly rip them a new on on Sunday!
Tobes would probably be saying Maureen has every right to do this if the roles were reversed between us & City!
Schwarzer (Cech's injured), Salah (cup-tied) and Lampard (suspended for the second leg) will definitely play. With Terry being out, Cahill, Luiz and Ivanovic will all play too.
If they do play, they could have an eye on the 2nd leg and not want to get injured. Or Jose really will rest the lot and play a couple youth players in defence. Either way, we need to go at them and score lots. It will be a tough game, but if we can win, we need to improve our goal difference.
If you win on Sunday you win the league, as you'll only have to topple currently the worst side in the division at home i.e. Newcastle and get a point at Palace to be mathematically certain - and that assumes that City will win all of their 4 remaining games - including their visit to us.
Any "weak" side they may put out will still consist of proven internationals, EPL, CL and other division winners around Europe! So far from weak... Just worry about ourselves, respect but not fear the opposition and do our best, we do that, we may win the game...
haha, no mate, I think it's all over anyway. City blew it last week at home to the Mackems and Chelsea followed suit at the weekend. As soon as I saw that spawny looping deflection from the babymaker on Sunday I sat back in my seat, took a sip of my pint and accepted the fact, that you're going to win the League.
Would have made a better image if it was a shot of whisky and then the glass smashed in the fireplace
