And did those feet in ancient time
    Walk upon England's mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
    On England's pleasant pastures seen!

    And did the Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
    And was Jerusalem builded here,
    Among these dark Satanic Mills?

    Bring me my Bow of burning gold;
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
    Till we have built Jerusalem,
In England's green & pleasant Land

Happy St George's Day Everyone

Same to you, not that anyone cares in England, St Patrick's Day oh yeh all the flags are up in the local pub!, I always thought St George was a Christianised form of Sigurd the Dragon Slayer myself, lots of similarities.

Genuine question here for anyone who may know:
Do Georgia, Armenia etc etc etc and all the rest that treat old George as their patron celebrate him on the same day as us?

In Georgia and a few others they do but the dates are:

    23 April, 24 April, 6 May, 23 November

So no not all on the same day, I don't know why there is so much fuss about him not being English, only one Patron Saint is native to this Island and that's St David(not counting the Cornish ones).

You 'orrible bunch of racists! fancy, showing a degree of national pride! I'm off to the pub tonight for a couple of celebratory jars, there won't be a comedic hat, face paint or ludicrusly over branded beverage to be seen. Long may it continue!

Bet St George would of mullered that St Patrick fella in a ruck n all!

    Bah!

Nothing advertised, but to be fair, its a proper drinkers pub and not gimicky like that, they didn't even put up guinness bunting on st patricks! I shall have a couple of nice local ales whilst walking the dog (don't tell her indoors!).

    Bah!

If I ever had one, it must have been distinctly unmemorable because for the life of me I can't remember partaking in one of their's.

Most likely I'll have what evers on from Castle rock, although I keep hoping/encouraging the landlord will get some in from the blue monkey brewery as they are generally very good.

    Bah!
