Steve Bruce has to be in with a chance on manager of the year surely. Looks to have comfortably avoided relegation with a side favourites to go down at the start of the season. Possible FA cup final too if they get past Sheff Utd. Should be considered over both BR and TP IMO.

I agree, he's done a brilliant job this season and is easily the most underrated manager in the division imo.

Ironic if that happened just as Sunderland get relegated. They were silly for sacking him

I have to agree with you on this, imo some of your posters go too far but it's your board and down to your mods to set that line and deal with it.

    Your just bitter Tobes!

DR: Suarez is best in world. Before he has played one CL game.
Will his temperament handle the pressure of refs giving Barca everything at the nou camp.
Or playing against 11 Chelsea players parking the bus etc

Can you imagine how Suarez would have reacted having 4 pens turned down by Ovrebo in 2009?!

Manager of the Year for me is Pulis.. To do what he did in such a short space of time, one win away from being certainties in the PL next year is bloody amazing may not like his footballing philosphy but he's results speak for themselves.

Martinez for what he's done at Everton, Moyes may have laid the foundation but he's gone and put up a couple of stories, play some of the best football in the league and reasonably solid at the back to.

I'll doth my cap to our manager too, Rodgers, learning each week, he's developing the youth players and making already very good players even better, can mix-up the style of play, be it possession based against the "lesser" sides, more counter-attack against the better sides, he still makes mistakes, that will happen with younger managers, but for the most part, he's doing well, long may that continue.

I think with the right recruitment over the summer and Rodgers continuing evolution, we should still be there or there-about next year, CL games will certainly put pressure on the squad but its all part of the learning process for him.

He's from the Jose school so he could learn quickly, unlike Rafa who never mastered multiple fronts

Several managers have really come on this season, though can I suggest it's not a vintage season for teams.Pretty topsy turvy top 6 all season. Pullis has been exceptional at the bottom end taking some big scalps with just good football. Martinez has been solid and built less quickly, but done very well. At the top end, Rogers is outstanding and his team flexible, dangerous and playing as a team. From a manager still inexperienced this is impressive. Jose has shown when it comes to fighters, no one can get more from his players. I don't think weve played really well more than a handful of times, and we have been our usual flat self too often against "lower" teams. But in big games , we can roll anyone, as PSG found out tonight. All of this achieved with no strikers, an off form Goalkeeper, a mismatched and stuttering midfield, and a defence short of reinforcements. That's some achievement.
Wouldn't like to be picking Manager of the Year.

Pool's best chance just got better...

Jose almost confirms he would play a weak team against pool..

    "Scousers for a day"..

This may be the only title chance they might have for another 25 years <ok>

Next year, Scousers would be lucky to make the Europa league <laugh>

Liverpool refused to move our fixture unlike Sunderland. We'll see how they react to clubs refusing to move fixtures when they play CL next season

    Titles done now.

With us being forced to pretty much play a reserve team and Newcastle seemingly already on the beach, no way Liverpool wont get the points they need.

Is this what Sky / the P.L intended??!??!

It's because of us and our record in Europe that the English co-ef is so high and we continue to get 4 teams in the C.L yet get no help with fixtures at the business end. Ridiculous.

The Spanish and Germans know the importance of helping their teams. Sky and the Prem just focus on whats best for them.
