Morning Everyone from a Sunny Southampton, without a cloud in the sky

Jack Butland says he has no regrets about joining Leeds on loan for the last few months.

The young England keeper has conceded 26 times in 14 games went on to say :-

“The spell has had a few ups and downs but what hasn’t changed is the experience I’m getting of playing for a big club. “There’s a lot of expectation that comes with playing in front of big crowds. Yes it’s been tough and we haven’t picked up enough points but it’s taught me a lot and it will help me moving forward.”

Tony Pulis is hoping to pull off the double signing of McCormack and Smith in the Summer. The Eagles are same from relegation, and are looking to build in the Summer. Sure with Cellino in the hot seat, he will not let anyone go that he does not want to go, and if he did, only at the right price!

What would be the right price for McCormack and Smith? 8m?

Cellino has been taling to the papers again. <doh> This time he said :-

“At the age of 57 I’m putting myself back up for the challenge. It’s a bloodbath, but I am targeting a return to the Premier League in two years.”

    Morning all

Smith we signed for free, he is okay, won't get much better just a tall nuisance can't possibly see him cutting it in the Premier League. I admit doing better than I thought he would, if we received an offer above £2m surely it is worth considering?

Ross £6m so I agree Elland £8m must be worth consideration as long as it was all ploughed back in. Would hate to sell those two and still have Morrison and Hunt for the start of the season.

Morning all. Just typical, we've a squad laden with rubbish and the majority of the transfer headlines with players going out will be our decent few. I dont envy Cellinos job. Cellino has certainly been a lot quieter than previous owners and than I though he would be. Maybe, it's the calm before the storm

Good morning from you have guest it yes a very sunny Bardsey.
I think that an offer of 8m we should snap their hands off Im sure we can find some more gems out their Guedetti for one at £1.5m a steal.I would get Burke from Brum for free Jamie Murphy from SHEFF U for 200k .Dawson from West Brom for 1m at centre back and the boy from Rotherham I believe hes called Tom Hitchcock from QPR for 500k.GOAL keeper the boy from Southend Bentley at 6/ 4 seems a good aquistionThese players are all young and hungry and will not cost a lot to feed!
Hunt must go the fans can drive him out along with all the other hangers on

    Morning Eire, and Morning Ristac,

I think Cellino is the kind of person, what you see is what you get!!!

If he's got something to say, he would not care who he offended. In that way, a little like Bates, whereas GFH were always looking for assurance from the fans that they were doing the right thing.

Morning all. The starting price for Ross would have to be £8m. Almost 30 goals. Club captain. An international. That said, I would be a bit surprised if Cellino were to agree to let him go. On Smith, anything we can get will be a bonus. But I hope for £1m, although I doubt we'd get that much for him.

Although Smith is green and raw, I see no difference between him and what Rodrigues was like at Burnley, before he went to Southampton. We now expect him to be going to Brazil along with Lambert. Our manager hasn't made him any better but expect a good manager to do the right thing with him as there's always a place for a battering forward in most teams except Liverpool

We need a complete overhaul so not bothered about who goes now

Morning Boggers, I'd say Smith would be worth 1m all day long. Look at his scoring record

Well at least we seem to agree Smith has been good value for money and I think with a different manager the boy will be a force to be reckoned with a JOE JORDAN type player as I have ALWAYS maintained
Thank you Elland for you concern my wife is still in lots of pain but I have appointed a solicitor to sue Bradford CouncilI spoke to my consultant yesterday and he wants to see me next week so fingers crossed they have got on top of it

    Morning all,

Dawson must be injured because I can't for the life of me understand why he didn't get a run out against Forest. What was the point in playing Tonge, Austin and Brown when we've nothing to play for? Would also have been handy to see Poleon for a change, and maybe started with Mowatt.
And I assume Zac Thompson's still with us? Surely deserves a go at RB instead of Wootton.

These end of season games are ideal for giving a few of the youngsters a run out.

McDermott never ceases to piss me off. I just can't fathom his way of thinking.

Pfft, couldn't disagree more. Rodriguez was fantastic at Burnley, clear potential and Southampton knew they were getting quality for at the time their highest transfer fee in their history.

I'd let Smith go for around 750k-1m. We got him for nothing and would be great business for a player that isn't really good enough for the long term first team imo.

    Morning all <ok>

Was away over the bank holiday, but expected the Forrest result. Have to say I agree with the sentiment here that I have no idea why BMD isn't giving some of the younger players a chance at this stage.

As for Ross & Smith, despite my enjoyment of Boggers eternal optimism, I don't think its realistic that we'd be accepting "starting" bids at £8m for him. Any money for Smith is obviously a bonus, but I think those two should be retained and given some proper support next year. I don't think Ross will achieve the same goals tally even with a decent midfield, but we shouldn't be selling our best player. Or was that our fridge :)

    Good Morning All.

That's the end of the pleasantries - now I'm going to fall out with most of you ....

Our 2 best strikers score 40+ goals in a season. One is in his first season, & not even a regular. And in a dreadful team with the least creative midfield Leeds have ever put out in a white shirt! And you think we should sell them? And only for £8m? Yes, go ahead & buy all your 'bullets' suggestions. But who's going to be the guns to fire these bullets? Hunt? Morison? Poleon? Or a plunge into the transfer market with our fingers crossed? Wickham perhaps? (Yet another Leeds failure). So what's so wrong about tried & tested?

Get real - keep your best & build a team around them. Cellino doesn't need the money. He needs a team of leaders & winners. Why on earth would you sell your best 2?

We need a top striker to feed and play off Ross, with Murphy in the hole or at the tip of an attacking midfield. We need Byram back and Dawson in the line-up. Hooper and Ross would be great, because the canaries may need to offload him soon.
