What a two faced ****. The last thing he said at OT with a mic in hand to 75k fans was: 'It's your job now to back the new manager'
When he said that, I am not sure even he expected Moyes to be this bad. Moyes simply did not have the mentally for the job and it was a horrendous error from Fergie.
This right here reveals the hypocrisy of the English press-pundits etc (I'm not referring to you). If Fat Sam, or Steve Bruce were appointed as manager for United, there'd be an uproar, but don't the media always go on about giving English managers an opportunity? But nobody wants to realistically name any English managers to take over the United job, every candidate is a foreign coach, and every United fan, and every press member, pundit, are also banking-wanting a foreign manager to come in and fix the job, rather than an English manager. This is when people can really put their money where their mouths are, common, Engerlandddddddd.
Or Real Madrid? It seems everyone only gets a season or two there, so could be a good boost to his pension fund.
I think he's invested so much time and effort into Arsenal that he couldn't take another domestic job. I would like to see him manage France and see what he can do though, but I fear the stress and expectation from Arsenal will probably force him to retire.
I hope your club hierarchy are learning from all this - 'How not to choose someone to follow a long serving, high achieving ( well not recently but anyway......) manager, and if you do appoint them, how not to get rid if they don't deliver' Would really like to think your club has more class....
I think some of our fans would hire a new manager and then sack him before the season starts, if he didn't make new signings. I shudder to think what will happen when we get a new manager and we have to face all the normal new manager mistakes.
Cretinous comment. You seem to think wanting AW out equates to also having no patience with any new subsequent manager. You're always about the extremes. One thing or the other. AW is leading us nowhere anymore. Just like Hodgson is leading England nowhere. Just like Hodgson was leading Liverpool. You seem to think any `AW out' fan is also one who has no patience, will want whoever replacing him to be similarly sacked if no signings are made etc.
Ideally Wenger stays, makes the signings we need early, not one player on deadline day and addresses whatever it is with their training that causes us to have so many injuries. I say the same things at the end of every season though
I think most Arsenal fans' patience is wafer thin, because it is built on a massive misconception, that any decent manager should be able to win a trophy fairly easily at Arsenal. I think all of you will rubbish any appointment made, as the wrong one. And I think you will turn on any new manager like a pack of rabid wolves at the first sign of anything resembling a mistake.
