I don't mind stripes if it is done right. I don't want us looking like Sheff Utd.

Subject to any residual image issues I would love to relive the old Patrick combo including the dark blue/light blue away.

Yep, agree. That Championship kit above is one of my recent favourites.

The stripes we won the JPT in at Wembley though were poor. That was a bad shirt.

Not exactly, it was that Martin Samuels piece and he was referring to the part about us buying the likes of John Terry and that.

I stand corrected - I'd heard it was about Luke leaving and wasn't going to download the app just to check specifically what it was.

He posted the comment "What if..." and said it was "interesting".

In reply to a screenshot of a block of text which basically said 'What if Southampton keep their nucleus, manager and continue to invest...'

To be fair, Umbro did make pretty good kits for Saints. But, like you guys have said, that Championship promotion season Shirt was a great one. Stripe kits are quite generic these days, and unfortunately I immediately think of Stoke and Sunderland, especially with our association with Adidas now. I hope it is a little bit different, and something more unique, but hey, I will support Saints in whatever kit.

Love hairbands with long hair, but no Anglo-Saxon male can get away with it.

We need a quality shirt sponsor whose logo enhances the stripes, any ideas?

Yes it was. Although I'm not a great one for endless stripes, it was a great looking kit. The shirt was one of the best even striped designs Saints have put out, the shorts were regular black, and the socks were not good. One colour only next time. All red or all white. I prefer all white.

You can imagine how much I hate the socks on the current Home kit. Where's that vomit bag..? Whereas, the Away kit socks are dandy.
