Alan Pardew has revealed his determination to stop the rot for Newcastle United before the end of the season.

The Toon boss has revealed that it was difficult to lift his players after the 2-1 loss to Swansea City.

But has urged them to focus on next Monday’s encounter with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

When asked if his task was difficult to lift his troops after the latest defeat, Pardew said: “It was.

“There wasn’t much to say really.

“Other than work hard this week and get ourselves a win before the end of the season for sure.

    “The sooner the better.”

Pardew’s touchline ban is now over after serving a record-breaking seven- match suspension for headbutting David Meyler during the 4-1 win against Hull City.

His team have won just once and lost six during that time.

And he feels that his presence back on the touchline would make a difference.

Pardew had indicated that he would spend more time in the stands after the suspension was issued.

But he said he would return to the sidelines for the game in North London next Monday.

He said: “It does make an impact.

“There are certain situations, particularly at the end of each half, when you can focus your players.

“If I am not there it makes it difficult for my staff as I am superb at my job as everyone knows.

“I’m the manager and I am up in the stand.

“I will be pleased to get back on the sidelines cos it has been tiring having to blame Hatem from up in the Milburn each week.”

That would just about sum up his leadership abilities and tactical nouse. Don't say much other than try harder and win. I'd love to get his wages to do that.

The sooner this parasitic, bottom-feeding bastard crawls back into his carapace and ****s off to whence he came the better.

Maybe Pardew and Shola could go skipping off to the sunset, arm-in-arm.

I'm starting to get really pissed off with some of the reasons people give for supporting him.

'oh but we finished 5th' 'he's been undermined and had no money to spend' 'he should be given time'.

    Seriously.

If Newcastle United where made from wood, Ashley, Pardew etc would all be the termites and termites won't stop the rot, the exterminator will.

Is there anybody left still supporting him? I was one of those who argued to give him time and even I thought he'd reached the point of no return when he turned on the local press and fans. No matter what anyone thinks of Pardew as a manager (and I still think we've had worse) there is no argument now that his presence is damaging the club. He has to go.

Unfortunately there are - They use the excuses that I listed. All I can say is blind faith. The guy needs to go.

Its past even blind faith point though. Even if someone doesn't see Pardew as being to blame and sees him as a decent manager, the situation is now so toxic that change is needed. the owner is going nowhere, the fans are going nowhere, the local press are going nowhere, and we can't change an entire squad. Pardew is not the whole problem but he is a big part of it, and he is the easiest to change.

Pardew won't walk and Ashley won't sack him. He'll be here next season and only removed if we are in the bottom 3 or 4 by December.

The Barclays Premier League is, metaphorically, a giant, fat blubbery whale that has money sharks like Mike Ashley feeding hungrily from it.

Pardew is a nasty little parasite nestled into the side of Mike's jaws, nibbling away at the scraps... :emoticon-0138-think

Where's Sheriff Brody when you need him? "Hooper?"
