I'm almost sure i read somewhere that De Boer is interested in being LVG's assistant, where ever he goes.
Seriously? Shows a willingness to learn from someone more experienced but I think it's an odd decision to go from title winning head coach to assistant manager at another club.
Maybe De Boer has his head screwed on and doesn't want to jump in at the deep end, possibly failing like so many.
That or he's thinking long-term, understands van Gaal won't be around for years to come so is looking at the idea of taking over once Louis hangs up his... Tactics board?
"That or he's thinking long-term, understands van Gaal won't be around for years to come so is looking at the idea of taking over once Louis hangs up his..." Which is what Timmy should have been looking at (well before the time the Ego has landed) .
To be honest, does it really matter who we hire? We'll be in the same position in 12 months time when the new boss is sacked by Levy, anyway.
LOL. Regardless, it's going to be an interesting one. If Levy doesn't bring in a big name whose got credibility, there will be uproar from many of our fans.
Moyes' best quality is in the transfer market so I don't see why we'd want him if we're continuing with a DoF. With the exception of Bilyaletdinov he bought very well taking chances on the players bigger clubs wouldn't. Right now we need a flexible tactition to get the best out of our players and bring through some youth players over the coming seasons.
He was a bargain for Everton, even at the £15mill, or whatever, they spent on him. He could've signed him cheaper at any point in the summer, the fact that he knows him well yet they only signed him on the final day after Ewar Woowar failed to bring anyone in tells me that Moyes didn't particularly want him but signing him was better than nothing.
Any fool could see that Fellani was not the kind of player that United needed, either then or now. He'll be gone in the Summer.
I would prefer a proven PL manager if Sherwood leaves, I would have Benitez, he has all the experience necessary and may still have the motivation of a few scores to settle in the PL.
I'd like to see Rudi Garcia at Tottenham. Great Football, great results. Probably wouldn't come now with no CL football but he would be the right man for the job. I said at the time when we appointed AVB we should have gone for him, he would have been cheap then and probably tempted.
