It'll be interesting what approach the new fella has: like all screw ups, They're not handled well or with class (I include our own in that)

A Few people been highlighted as slimeballs in how they behaved this year...Will they survive a new regime that will no longer have Fergie power to hide behind?

Fergie was employed fulltime dont forget. He was part time weekend staff like Rodgers.

  4. More interesting to see what happens to the old guard should a all powerful new manager come in. Mourinho or Van Gaal won't put up with the **** that's gone off.

  7. Since you are saying we are part-time because we're not in Europe, how was Fergie full time in those first two seasons when English clubs were banned from Europe?

  8. Yeah, something along those lines for sure <laugh>

    Exactly.

Nobody has denied our players have come out of this smelling of roses. Some will be in for a shock under a Klopp, Gaal or other. They will have a field day but unlike Moyes when they go toe to toe with players, its done in order to bring the best out of them ( doesnt always work ).

Klopp and van Gaal are very similar managers it seems, both promote yoith, love a bargain and are utterly insane. One followed by the other would be great ( or De Boar ).

because they were the maximum number of games available in 1986 as europe didnt exist to english football.

So he was fulltime. Not like todays lazy youth and their half arsed careers.

And be honest UIR, are you really trying to state that you lot have been anything other than on strike this year?

What happens if your players dont understand the new gaffers vision either or dont like how he gets them to do morning jogs? Will they go on strike again.

You'll be like the underground drivers union!

United players are professionals, having worked under Ferguson for the most part.

One or two have let themselves down this season and will no doubt be found out if they repeat the trick under the new manager. By the sounds of it though those are the players on the way out anyway, the more senior players like Rio, Giggs won't be in the new managers plans. Not as players anyway.

I think the like of Carrick, who's form and attitude have dropped to **** all of late, will be bombed out to be honest. They don't form the future. A clear out is on the way regardless of who takes over purely down to certain players ages.

Aye Chief you're right: the only issue is getting rid of them all at one time is unlikely, as you say oldies first, then the lethargic crap from then on...

It'll squeeze your squad depth for a while despite funds being available simply because not all your targets will be available when you want them.

Might still make you a bit brittle for a year or so.

Rio was the main one. I dont have too much of an issue as Rio was just giving the views of most of the players anyway.

He wont get away with it under the likes of van Gaal or Klopp though. The difference is he wil respect them.

Of course rio would have to be here next season for it to matter.

42 game seasons then, and United entered the League Cup and FA Cup.

I have a feeling that tonight's CL game, could prove to be pivotal in the battle to be our next manager. Simeone has thrown his hat into the ring for the job, and if he continues to impress with his Atletico side he is going to be difficult to ignore.

Some keep saying he plays bad football. He plays that way when he comes up against the likes of Barca and Madrid, because he doesn't have the same quality of player that those 2 sides have. These are obviously the only games that the media pay attention to , so he gets branded a negative manager. I watch plenty of La Liga and his team always plays on the front foot against the rest of the division, they even play with 2 strikers, which is rare nowadays
