I was suggesting we're beatable last week, we've got no incentives objectively, other than pride and whatnot and 'for the fans' but half the players will have one eye on being fit for Brazil now, they won't be going into tackles hard, you lot will have much more scrap in you than we will. Everybody knows players nowadays that play for pride and 'for the fans' are few and far between, there's not going to be a roar of passion from our end, we're there for the taking, for Norwich and yourselves.

Not sure now, think the team will rally behind Giggsy (out of respect) and try to finish on a high

This may help us with the Norwich result but could **** us over at the same time unfortunately

Whilst I agree - you have to remember that the Man U game is not the defining moment of the remainder of our season.

If we at least match Norwich, Fulham and Cardiff's results and win the game against West Brom we stay up.

In reality, 1 draw, 2 losses and a win could keep us up.

But I would like to have a little comfort. Win on Sunday, Beat West Brom and take something from the Mancs and chill out knowing that Norwich, Fulham or Cardiff have to score 7 or 8 to catch us!!

If only it was that simple

I dunno mate, apparently some of the issue was a lack of respect for Phil Neville, and while I know Neville wasn't a patch on Giggs, you'd still think some generation basedrespect would be give, the lesser Neville still did some great things at United.

For me, we can still take summat from this game.

Phil Neville probably got the respect he deserved, which is very little. He was and still is under qualified as a coach for a top European side. He hasn't earned his position at United, he's been given it on his cosy relationship with Moyes and his past merits at United as a player, not enough for me.

Steve ****ing Round is the guy who the players will have laughed in the face of. Mr "Yes" Man, Moyes' nodding ****ing dog. I hope one of the seniors two foots that **** out of the door.

Giggs will command respect from the dressing room, the most decorated player in United's history deserves respect in the interim if he's temporarily in charge, he speaks then the rest listen as far as I'm concerned but he's not qualified to be United manager.

I'd have Phelan back in a heart beat, he deserves a shot more than anybody.

Who do you think it'll be Terry?

van Gaal is screamingly obvious for me.

Utd can beat anyone on their day but it now seems they can also lose to anyone and on that basis we can quite easily get at least a draw from them. Norwich will hopefully get the new manager new motivation thumping and then we can turn up and turn them over. Thats my dream anyway.

My guess is as good as yours, if Fergie has a say then who knows?

I'd take Hiddink, what's he up to since he left Anzhi? Like you say Van Gaal seems to be the front runner. There could be legs in a Giggs/Neville partnership after the World Cup as well.

One I'd like for the long term is Martinez, obviously that's taking the piss and I think he'd turn us down anyway, he's got honour and loyalty in abundance that fella so I reckon he'll do a few years at Everton before taking over a bigger side.

I'm sure Hiddink has taken a job for next season, but I'm ****ed if I can think what it is at the minute.

I'd have thought Giggs & Nev might be tied up with the Salford FC stuff, but you never can tell.

Like I've mentioned, Jupp Heynckes might fancy it, even though he said he'd not manage again.

Good call terry - Always like Phelan TBH and was very surprised that Moyes got rid of him.

Holland apparently, so yeah, not him then! Now I don't fancy Van Gaal to get the job on the basis that I don't think we can wait until after the World Cup, surely we need more prep for next season than a month under a new manager.

United always work better with great coaches, which is drawing me to McLaren for some reason. He's probably the best coach in England bar none, for all of his stupid accents and daft quotes he knows his stuff on the training ground. I'm gonna stop short of saying I'd take him now, but I think he'd be a success if the likes of Rooney were on his side.

There's so many names out there, it's all guess work apart from the Van Gaal rumours. Where's Capello? He's a winner at club level, he won't **** about getting this side back to winning ways.

He's a United legend as far as I'm concerned Marcus, welcome at Old Trafford in any capacity. Maybe better suited to coaching as per Meulensteen, but the important thing is that ALL the players will show this guy respect as if he were Fergie.

Cappello managing Russia but he's announced he'll step down after World Cup, could have a shot, always said he wanted a top English club job.

Aye definitely mate - Always liked United - they've always kind of been my second English team as my best mate used to go when we were kids - I'd go with him to Utd and he'd come with me and my family to Sunderland. I simply hope you get the "pump your chests out" day this weekend and then it's gone against us and your evert to type - as much as I l;ike United, Sunderland are my team and I hope we can turn you over at OT in a couple of weeks!! Sorry!!

I wouldn't expect any different mate, I don't think this will have much of an impact on how we finish this season. There'll be more freedom to our game no doubt and less emphasis on sitting deep, so we should play better in theory... but I just don't see the commitment coming with the players wanting to avoid any potential injuries and ruining their world cup ambitions etc.

Hull on the other hand will get SLAPPED. They'll be given a humping all over Old Trafford, Nemanja, Rio and probably Evra stepping out at Old Trafford for their last competitive appearance together, Hull players desperate to avoid injury with the FA Cup final ahead... it's all we've got to look forward to now that game!

Only thing is his age, surely he's got 3-4 years left max.

One thing is guaranteed, Giggs will get Scholes in. Scholes wouldn't work under Moyes, he knew he could offer him nothing with the way he worked, Scholes wouldn't have agreed with Moyes' philosophy but I'd be surprised if he isn't already at Carrington now with Giggs.

I have no idea who Mike Phelan's little brother is Cest, that one's lost on me. I've a suspicion you've misread and you're referring to Giggs.

Haha, I got the inference it was just misdirected!

Bet you enjoyed that result against Chelsea, it was a great game and I love seeing them squirm even if it means I have to finally admit that the trophy is inevitably Anfield bound, kill me now.
