So Moyes is gone. Who will be next to lead United. Lets vote.

I'm bound to miss obvious names on the poll but add them in comments if I do.

Klopp and Simeone wont leave their club to go manage a team that wont be in the CL and Europa League next season.

I think Martinez would suit them, but hes only 1 year into his job, so he wont leave now.

I say Louis Van Gaal, I be happy if United get him, as he has been out of club football for many years and we know the quality of International managers in the Premier League, like Capello, Scolari and Roy etc

I'd be amazed if Klopp wasn't their first choice.

Whether he'd take it or not is a different matter.

Van Gaal would be a shocking appointment imo.

I don't think its going to that easy for them to get a top manager and they might need to take a gamble. A few years ago before the Glazers came along when United were the top club in the world they could have taken their pick from any manager in the world but its not like that now and I could see a few of the mangers on that list turning them down.

    Eric Cantona <whistle>

How about Joachim Low? He has been Germany boss for a while now. It would be a gamble for any club.

Why would he take the pay cut (and have his pay taxable) just to work more hours for Utd?

    <laugh>

The United job is still the biggest in England and one of the biggest in Europe, one season hasn't changed that ffs.

If anything it now becomes more sought after than when Ferguson left, as it was always going to be a poison chalice taking over from him, Moyes has been that fall guy, now the stage is set for a new top manager to take over.

Reports claiming he's ruled himself out of the running.
He's got a deal with Dortmund until 2018 and he says (it is claimed) that he doesn't wish to break it (the contract).

The after-Ferguson part is true but the fact that the squad requires significant rebuilding still applies.

Agree that Moyes was damned if he did take it and damned if he turned it down.
Now that the new guy doesn't have to follow Ferguson, like you said, it won't be seen to be as daunting..

Everton fans were about ready to get rid of him anyway so there's no need to feel sorry he was offered a massive pay rise.

The United fans I know (mainly relatives) know NOTHING about football (half were pool fans in the early 90s then jumped ship when United starting winning the league..)
They want Van Gaal, how short term is that, he either gets sacked or buggers off after a few years, he's left the likes of Barca, what makes them think he wouldn't do the same with them?
If they want to build for the future they'd be better off getting someone like Mauricio Pochettino, young, proven(ish) in the league, team plays lovely football, also, maybe able to persuade the likes of Shaw, Lallana to go with him..

I never said it wasn't a big job im just saying that a few years ago it would have been Ancelotti, Maureen, or even Pep linked to them but now they will have to pick from a lower bracket and there are doubts that Klopp or Simeone would even leave clubs that are in champs league to manage them.
