Remember though that he can wipe away his tears with £50 notes.

He should have been given another season. Brendan Rodgers was in a similar position last year and look at him now.

The chief executive should also be off really. 1 panic signing on deadline day and no other players in a 2 month period. I know he was new in the job, but so was Moyes. Poorly run operation.

Moyes knew what a big job he was taking. I don't think anyone at United expected to win the league this season but the fact they haven't even threatened to challenge the top 4 is very poor. Don't feel sorry for Moyes at all. After all, he did choose to leave Everton and take a risk. It backfired. Man United can't afford another season like this one so the decision to sack him is probably the correct one. Especially as he only gets a one year pay off.

The players have been shocking this season. The defence, with the likes of Smalling, Jones and Evans, has always been rubbish. Always overhyped, but it was obvious that they couldn't fill the boots of Ferdinand and Vidic. Even consistent performers like Michael Carrick, and Evra have been pretty poor this season. They have certainly let him down, but seem to escape the criticism.

He left Everton to join Man United. This is Manchester United, the biggest club in the country and arguably the world, who can blame him? Plus, United have a reputation of giving managers a chance, so he probably felt he would get time.

Way he had a go seems like player power got Moyes sacked. Ferdinand has been having lil digs at Moyes for ages now.

I dunno how much of a choice Moyes had anyway. Aside from moving from Everton to United being a bit of a formality, if Alex Ferguson seeks you out and goes to your home to tell you that you're his choice to take over, it's hard to tell him to piss off. Not like he was applying for every job while still at Everton.

I'm not blaming him, just saying it was a risk. He did not get nearly as much from Van Persie as Ferguson did last season. I bet that was a reason why he was sacked. Van Persie was obviously unhappy this season. Van Persie has obviously not been playing for the manager, like a few others. Only Rooney and De Gea have really been at their best.

I'd take one year of his pay, especially as he will get another job soon. The players have a lot to answer for as well. They didn't look that great last season, but SAF yelled them over the line and the other clubs let them have the title.

To be honest IF Pochettino did leave, Moyes wouldn't be a bad fit. He took Everton from a lower table PL team to top 7 and got them into the Champions League qualifiers once.

I know, but it doesn't get my blood going to be honest in terms of style. Oddly enough I think Moyes going makes it more likely that MP will go - the obvious choice for MU is surely Van Gaal (who was widely suspected to be going in Spurs direction). If he goes to MU then Spurs will have to go for their second choice, and I fear that's our boy.....
