Hamer looked like he should have done better for the first and Morro was ball watching. Is it starting to annoy anyone else that the press team put up Riga's comments on the OS in broken English? Why can't they just interpret them into a coherent structure rather than putting them up literally?
Seeing the replay again, my initial thoughts stand in regards to Hamer doing better on the first. But then as Kish says, Morro's positioning was horrible on the first and their mountain of a striker shouldn't have got through. It's for cases like that why Morro won't get my POTY vote. I would like to see a higher quality Championship defender brought in this summer to assist Morro as he's always been better with a Leon Cort next to him.
Hamer could have saved their first, I am sure he thought it was going wide. Morro had one of his poorest games of the season yesterday IMO. As for POTY, if the clipboard at the Covered End last Saturday is anything to go by, we have a clear winner already
Bloody marvellous !! I got 3 hours sleep last night because i kept checking the live scores for Charlton from Midnight through to 2am my time... worth every wink
Out of all our players the one I really will to play well is Harriott on his day he's class play him on the left regularly and a few decent performances confidence will grow and we will have some player.
When Harriott hassles the opposition he is a real threat. Too many times this season he has floated around and as a result not got in to games. Yesterday he really seemed determined to help Fox as well as break quickly and take on their full back. He also cut inside a few times and looked dangerous too.
He did look the business yesterday and he'll be instrumental in our last matches. And it's a great source of pride to see the likes of Fox, Cousins and Poyet looking so comfortable at Championship level. The future is bright.
Although I thought Chris Powell did a tremendous job on limited resources last season and with the promotion from League 1, especially when you think Kermorgant was sold against his wishes this season and is scoring for free at high flying Bournemouth, nonetheless it will be a major achievement for Jose Riga if he can keep Charlton in the Championship this season. If he can do it then should be offered a longer term contract. It would be interesting to find out how many teams manage to stay up without getting back to back wins - does anyone know? Survival should be likely if we can get the points, make the most of our game in hand and obviously keep ahead of the bottom 3.
He's just begging for a new contract. We had some nice memories of him, but when it came to his contract I think a good 80% of CAFC fans were happy for him to move on.
He played the same game when he was out of contract at the Valley. It's very transparent the second time. I'm happy for him to stay at Sheff Wed forever.
I thought Semedo was crap. And I thought Racon was even crappier. Imagine those two instead of Poyet and Cousins...
