[NSFW] Yeah, the Jaime/Cersei thing was a bit awful, hopefully they actually go somewhere with it because it just seemed so out of sync with the storylines. Bit of a nasty episode all in all, Jaime and the Hound both did some pretty nasty **** when they'd been on the path of villains to heroes (although the Hound's made more sense for his character), Littlefinger seems to have basically abducted Sansa because he loved her mum, Tyrion seems somewhat boned, another love story nipped in the bud with Sam and Gilly, Ygritte and the wildlings are going into full rampage and pillage mode and let's not even talk about the cannibal dudes. At least Dany is still being a badass 'mhysa'. [/nsfw]

[nsfw]At least it all makes sense outside of the Jaime thing. The Hound has never stopped being The Hound, it's just that sometimes Hound things are acceptable and sometimes they're not. The Baelish/Sansa thing was coming for a while (and it doesn't seem as if it really is just about Catelyn). Tyrion being boned is a common theme, I'd be surprised if we never hear more from Sam and Gilly, the Wildlings are just dicking about until they find something to actually do and I don't mind the cannibal dudes as simply a more scary wildling variant.[/nsfw]

[nsfw]Yeah of course, I'm happy with all the storylines apart from the Jaime incident, just meant it was a bit of a grim episode (not that that's a bad thing necessarily) until Dany brought the saucy badassery at the end. I did think Baelish was in particularly creepy form though, I feel like his intentions aren't entirely pure.[/nsfw]

[NSFW]Yeah, Baelish was at his creepiest and ruthless best/worst. I'm not sure whether he is using Sansa as leverage in some way. Or...if he is just being a creep and realising that although he can't have Catelyn, he can have Sansa. I enjoyed the episode. There was a lot going on. None the wiser as to who poisoned Joff. Except that it wasn't Dontos, or Tyrion, although we knew that I think. Tywin is still a badass, he is like a puppet master, he always seems to be in control. The Jaime thing. It's odd that it was rape rather then consensual as it apparently was in the books. There must be a reason to it. I'm sure they wouldn't make it rape just for the hell of it. Presumably it had to be given the go ahead to make that change by RR Martin.[/NSFW]

Bit out there but has anyone here ever had shingles? If so how long did it take the nerve pain to go? I've finally gotten rid of the rash but the pain is really ****ing my attempts at revision. I'm far too young to get shingles ffs :(

I had shingles when I was 23/24 and just buying my first house. It can be brought on by stress, so maybe the pressure or revision/exams is having an effect. Has the doctor prescribed you anything? You can feel a little down after shingles.

Where did you get it, torso, head or arms? I was lucky and had it on the arms.

Shingles is very common in students...the virus is often woken up by stress. Luckily the young usually recover (though may take a while) whereas elderly patients can be left with permanent pain. They also have antivirals now...when I was at college, shingles meant months off. Hope you are better soon.

The only thing that Uni stress caused me was sleep paralysis. Glad that's over.

Thanks Le tiss and Fran. (Joe yours sounds horrid).

Yeah saw the doctor and he said it will be stress from revision (although losing two weeks of revision from shingles has hardly de-stressed me!). The anti virals worked a treat and the rash is pretty much gone. The nerve pain is still there though and since it's in my right arm (writing arm) it makes revision quite difficult so I'm off to the doctor tomorrow to see if he can prescribe me anything nerve specific.

Unless medicine has moved on, painkillers have little effect on nerve pain without virtually making you unconscious :(

Uni stress is working its magic on me right now, coming out in some rashes while I finish writing my diss. Just another week and a half left to finish it now...

I have had far worse in the past though, so I guess I should be happy it's not more serious, such as the shingles. Hope it sorts itself out soon enough TTSF, exams are stressful enough without something like that happening.

    Watch_Dogs looking good.

It has a few lil touches that I think will make it even better. It starts raining and a lady looks up into the sky. Takes her phone out her pocket and calls for a taxi(You hear her convo). The taxi pulls up driving into a puddle which splashes her, she then moans at the driver before getting in.

When there is a gust if wind a guys hat blows off and he chases it.

[nsfw]Read through the GoT comments and I'm surprised that the prevailing opinion of Jaime has been that he's supposed to have been villain turning hero. He's shown some likeable traits, but we were never supposed to think he was a good guy. At most it was supposed to be making a point that most of these characters are amoral. He paralysed a kid in the first episode to keep his incestuous relationship with his sister a secret. It's a pretty large theme of this whole series that it's not as clear-cut as "heroes and villains".

Also I'm pretty sure the suggestion is that Baelish had Dontos poison Joffrey. [/nsfw]

[nsfw]He'd not really done anything bad for a while, and he'd been through some trauma. It certainly seemed as if his journey with Brienne had redeemed him somewhat from the huge **** he was at the start, though obviously everyone's amoral it's still a stark contrast to everything else he's done recently. Raping your sister next to your son's dead body is a pretty big dick move.

I got that impression too but it's far from definite. Baelish has always had information coming from every direction and he's got his fingers in many pies, it's very possible that he was just clued in as to what's going on with it. I'm not entirely sure what his motive for doing it would be.[/nsfw]

[nsfw]Jaime is on a redemption arc. He starts as a total bastard and then some things change your view of him - the scene where he reveals why he killed the Mad King for example, returning to rescue Brienne for another. It may partly be book knowledge playing a part here - we obviously can't get inside character's heads as effectively on TV as we do in the books.

Anyway I've actually just read an interview with the director of the episode and it's not supposed to be rape, although it looked like rape to me. Anyway, Cersei is supposed to be consenting by the end of the scene:
