Well for what it's worth for now, which may not be much, Ralph told those on the bike ride to ignore the press and listen to their club.

We don't "need" to sell and don't "want" to sell. We're focused on keeping the side together and improving ourselves.

He also had a go at someone in a car, but that's another story.

I want to know if he skipped across any red traffic lights or grabbed a car door handle to get a tow. :)

I was talking about this the other day with a friend and the main reason why I think Lallana won't leave is that I don't think a club which is a massive step up from us would want him. If you look at Chelsea/Utd/City/Liverpool/Arsenal as the teams who could afford what we would want and who would be counted as a jump forward career wise, then look at their current crop of attacking midfielders, and where they are weak, why would they go after Adam?

The only teams I could see seriously going for him are City and Chelsea where money is no issue and they want to boost their English numbers

Yeah, if the only club after him is United then I'm not all that concerned.

Did he threaten to stab them with an ice skate?

Welbeck is in a tricky spot, the biggest club that he would interest is probably Spurs and they would pay his wage demand, yet he would have stiff compitition there. The other option is for him to drop down a level to a ambitious club that would make him thier no1 striker but would probably only offer half the wages. He is a young lad that has tasted the good and the frustrating side of playing for a big club, he may well be upto listening from an offer from us as at the moment he is no more than a squad player

Be nice if an overpaid footballer actually took a pay cut in order to further his footballing career, but won't happen. Most would rather sit out a fat contract....I understand that on one level, because we would want the best remuneration that we could get, but most of us don't have careers that finish in our early thirties. Blink and a footballer's career has gone.

Welbeck linked up very well with Lambert for England. Would certainly have him if he's interested, but I imagine, in spite of what he's said, he'd find it difficult to leave United.

Micah Richards has turned down a new contract at City, to get first team football elsewhere. :)

About time. How many seasons has he more or less wasted..? He's certainly buggered up a potential England career.

Well the England right-back slot is hardly nailed down. If he plays a full season there's no reason he won't be back there.

But we don't know what salary he is asking for at his new club, before we all hail Saint Micah. He may ask for that same salary level.

Amazed that he's only 25 - seems like ages ago people were linking him with Luke Shaw value moves.

Is victor Moses on loan at Liverpool? I'd consider him if he were cheap ish and not silly wages.

Well it seems as though he's been nowhere for years, but having been on Wikipedia

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micah_Richards

I realise he's only really been out for Man City for the last two seasons. That's long enough, of course. As for his England career, Capello appears to have not given him a chance, and that's probably why I thought he'd disappeared. He hasn't played for England since November 2010 and that was a fleeting subs appearance. Amazingly, he's still only 25. He is the youngest ever defender to play for England in November 2006. He must have been 17.

Richards was linked to arsenal in the last transfer window, maybe his future lies there.

Surely if Moyes does leave United that negates most of these Shaw/Lallana to United rumours? Unless they do a chelsea and sign players without a manager.

I saw the BBC article yesterday suggesting Welbeck may consider a move away from Man U and I though he is exactly what we need and no doubt soon after joining he would be slated as one goal and hopefully he would do a 'Rodriguez' in response. Would really like him here, but suspect you are right and doubt he will move.

When Richards was playing regularly, I thought he was better than both Johnson and Walker. He's hardly had a look in since his injury and it's hard to drop Zabaleta.
