    The United press guys have come out (according to Talksport) and stated he definitely has not been fired.

    They're on the NYSE, if he was sacked they'd have to inform them first..
    Otherwise, if they leaked out info. that could effect the share price, could be deemed insider trading!
    If/when he goes, the yanks will know first!

    I don't get why they would sack him. The only reason United did **** this year was because United had a hard start to the season. Next year when they have an easier start it will be business as usual with United winning the league surely?

    No they don't have to inform NYSE either before or after they sack him. He's an operational manager and therefore not included in their rules.
