    The bottom line is probably that they recognise they need to spend big but have realised they don't trust Moyes to spend it.

    And that's massive risk with him at the helm.

    He won't get anywhere near that. His contract will have break clauses and almost certainly minimum performance levels.

    I doubt it's a coincidence that this weekend has seen the mathematical possibility of United making the CL places end. That'll have been the minimum requirement imo and he's now formally ****ed it, so they're binning him.
