i just wanted to say that, with Liverpool winning the league, it will truly be a victory not only for the amazing Liverpool support, not only for Gerrard who has shown years of loyalty, but for football as a whole. Don't get me wrong, im not saying this in any sense of how any team sets up and plays, but we have suffered a good decade almost of the greedy oil barons ruining the league, buying everything left right and center (e.g., Chelsea buying out the competition just to loan them out). It will be a victory for good old fashioned determination and good coaching, and a never say die attitude. Brendan Rodgers is the true special one, and for all the right reasons. If I wasn't a Hammer, i'd have loved to have been a Pool fan. You've had many years of hurt but the tide is turning. Last season saw the beginning of the end for the old guard (Fergie) and this season finally we are all in the position to see a club that truly deserves the title, so close to doing so. You have the respect of many neutral fans up and down the country, thank you for restoring some pride to the league, long may it continue. Oh, and please batter the scum at Anfield, give that false special one something to cry about like the little bitch he is.
cheers not over yet though, still a few nervy games left to play, hopefully you lot will go back to the football we have come to expect from the hammers, not the ****e dished out at the moment. will be a victory for football, be nice to see Everton and saints rewarded for playing the game the right way as well. be nice if one day we had a prem that had no Mouninho,Alladyce (spelling?) or pullis in it.
Appreciate your sentiments mate but nothing is won yet, a lose on Sunday and we're suddenly not in the driving seat. So near yet so far.
Unless West Brom can get something tonight #cmonwestbrom They definitely won't get anything against City though #jinx
There's no way on earth West Brom will get something tonight, it'll be a comfortable afternoon for City. #doublethejinx
Whereas I agree that a loss this weekend would make things a lot more stressful, I think we can still win the league with a loss this weekend as long as we win the other fixtures. City is looking rattled and having to play a dense final fixture match. I don't have confidence that City can win ALL their remaining fixtures. They will drop points on at least one more occasion. That being said- we do really need to try and beat Chelsea, or the pressure and that air of invincibility of ending our run of wins, could be enough to mentally make out lot lose a few more points.
Still three games left! BUT I think the sentiment of a fairer, competitive PL is an excellent one rather than the same old same old where there's only three teams, four max in the race. This season has been one of the best I can remember and not just because of our success but because of the unpredictability factor, there needs to be more of that, surely as fans of the game we all want that excitement each week, as well as wanting our team to end up the winner. Come on the baggies though. Citeh will probably stick 6 past them #jinx
