    Hahaha.

    Phill, come on.

I can´t remember if it was you, but countless people have taken great pride in knocking the "short sightedness" of the stadium planners in building a stadium "impossible to expand".

And your point is Scott?? think you need to read the thread Scotty again, his Question was "but who said it couldn't be expanded?? Own up." has anyone stated it couldn't be expanded? let me know if you find it, the issue is the cost, due to it not being planned in! Anyway I thought you where fed up with this one Scotty, or is that the Ticket issue, mind they are connected! And stop picking on me you'll give me a complex...........

When I first went to Lake Kounos, there was hardly a building there except two Taverna's, but they are building there at the top end some what, hope they don't spoil it, if you ever go to Georgioupolis for a meal, the best restaurant in the village is Valentino's, there is also the Pizzeria (Rodaria), on the road out of Georgioupolis, on the right where the road forks, they do a great spaghetti bolanaise ask for Nicko, mind he's not always there, opened another restaurant few years back, link below for Pizzeria, also the Sports bar in Georgioupolis is good for watching footy. Below is the view from where I have always enjoyed breakfast and a swim in Kalives, can't remember the name of the place, man I miss Crete, best of the Greek Islands, been around quite a few in my time!.................

Phill in fairness I did say I didn´t know if it was you, and as if I can be bothered to trawl through threads to find a substantiating quote! A few people have claimed it´s impossible to expand though.

    Ah well.

I don't understand how this has boiled over so much since I left the thread. Expansion should have been built into the original design, no questions asked. Whether the expansion was ever implemented or not, it wouldn't have cost much extra and would have given an extra option. The problem has never been whether it's possible to expand the stadium - you could put an extra two legs on a horse if you wanted, but you can't do it cheaply! I don't think anybody is talking about having a 35,000 stadium, there's probably not a person in this forum that would want a stadium that big to begin with, or even right now. It would have been better to have a 20,000 stadium with supports and foundations strong enough for a 35,000 stadium, with 2 or 3 separate, individual expansion stages. It wasn't done, so now it'll cost a lot of money to expand the Liberty - but if we continue to be successful, at least we'll have the money to cope with that. So I guess it's all in correlation, but if we stay successful over the next 3/4 years, money would be best spent on the squad rather than the stadium.
