What about the Norwich player who smashed Flanno but then went down as if he'd been murdered when Flanno pushed him back?

I agree about our own honesty, though also give some consideration to the context of a game where they were getting yellow cards for red card fouls and no cards for yellow card fouls

Since we're top of the fair play league we don't need to flog ourselves too hard <ok>

And it WAS at least a bookable offence, if not more.

Two ways of looking at it.

    1) Was terrible. Fell down screaming in agony then when realised we had the ball got back up and tried to score. Doesn't look good.

    2) Was a bad tackle, hurt him but Suarez sees we have the ball and for the good of the team, gritted his teeth to try and get up and carry on in order to get a goal for his team. After the ball goes out of play, he then carries on wincing from the bad tackle.

Make your own minds up <ok>

Regardless of this incident we all know he goes down easy sometimes and im sure no one likes to see it from within our own team, I dont. However, he does really play like a boy in the school playground with his determination, relentlessness and enthusiasm so I will take him going down easy at times as its part of him and keeping Luis was the best bit of transfer business in the whole of Europe

The worst thing was that no sooner had he 'risen' once we were through he went back down again as soon as the chance was gone. <laugh>

Once the adrenaline burst of a goal opportunity fades the pain returns

You missed option 3. It was a miracle. He was injured, but he rose again. It is Easter Sunday, and he is the second coming.

No now sorry but snodgrass on Allen was a sending off cos he was two feet off the ground and it was a potential leg breaker

But there's a reason for the bad pun on exaggeration. He looked like he'd broken his leg then popped up and sprinted..... And anyway if we call it then we don't need to defend it when someone else does

  12. Couldn't give a **** about Suarez going down but jumping up when he saw we had the ball. If referees did their jobs properly he wouldn't need to exaggerated things and that's goes for all players. If referees gave fouls whether the player goes down or stays on his feet, we wouldn't have half as much discussion around diving either.

People seem to miss the discomfort Suarez was in afterwards though. Anyone ever seen Suarez go down and stay down when genuinely injured? He always gets up and carries on!

Basically bollox. Don't like to fall out with regulars on here but you are way out of order on this one. He was twatted by a dirty studs up red card foul so was right to go down as those hurt even with shinpads on. Yes he is a bit of a drama queen in his reactions but no more than you with your thread about it.

You are right refs should really just not react to exaggeration but half the game the ref did there was several frees given for stuff that he just could have given before the player drops to ensure they do get it

I only had to google it again and it's on you tube as a dive... That's the issue, I never said he wasn't fouled I said he exaggerated it. The ref looked at him and didn't even wave play on, he didn't even give a foul such was the theatrics. But to pop up sprinting seconds after means frankly if he does get a leg broken one day a ref will wave okay play on.

The point is not dive or no, it's why exaggerate then jump up and sprint? Never mind being hurt and suffering that's fine he was after all fouled but just go down normally and you won't be second guessed

That's fair enough that's your right to believe. I just think if we call it then it's harder for a manc or bitter to use it to wum

**** those knobheads (can you tell I haven't been sober since about 7 :30 on Friday)

Fear of what others might say is not a good enough reason to attack our own

At the end of the day he has feigned injury in order to get the player carded for what was a bad tackle. Many players do it, Neville would probably say you let your team down if you didn't!
The problem is that the instances where he's clearly faking it are building and the refs are getting more and more wary of his theatrics. The question is would he get more or less decisions in his favour if he just got up and played on, Atm I suspect less!
