In the context of his match fitnss and the overall team performance he was indeed good. In reality though he wasnt all that and coming from me, a massive Nani fan thats saying something. Believe it or not I am a big fan of the underdog. I was always behind Berba and I rate Nani very highly. My now clear dislike of moyes surprises even myself because of this.
Yeh I agree, he did well considering his match fitness. I think Nani always gets the blame bcos he's an easy target. He's a good player to keep and I hope we do keep him. Did he do what was asked of him today - yes. I suppose we can forgive him for a lack of crosses as that seems to be a dirty word these days, but I thought he was better than Rooney and Kagawa in his overall attacking play tbh. Kagawa just had a bad day at the office, his movement was just not as good as it has been.
Only man city have a stronger squad?, ridiculous statement imo, man utd have a terrible bunch of overrated players, how many other clubs come in for your players?, only one player worth having and thats rooney, the rest are ten a penny middle of the road who have been found out this season. You need to spend 300 million minimum in the summer
Okay, I was on this thread earlier so thought I'd come back to see how it went. what's with so many long posts? **** that
Anyone seen the video of our away fans after the match. Moyes out would be theme. No mass chanting but a chap getting interviewed as fan after fan walked by shouting moyes out to the camera. Thats it really. The fat lady is about to sing.
Hahaha controlled the game my hairy hoop You had 1 shot on target you deluded mug. We controlled the game by allowing you to have meaningless possession and then looking to hit you on the counter, it was a deliberate ploy and it worked to perfection
Believe that if you will. A pointless handball without any real pressure got you a goal but you looked far from scoring up to that point. Your second was a defensive mistake from our LB. It wasn't as if we were dominated by Everton at all. I hate to say it, but that was clearly the case when we played Liverpool and City who controlled both those games against us. However against you, we did control the game in the first half, and although you deserve credit for the way you defended, our lack of shots on goal and our meaningless possession was more down to our play in the final third than anything else.
A good friend of mine, and an away fan, completely switched on Moyes today. Not sure if it's heat of the moment bcos he is usually so level headed and doesn't get worked up easily. But I think you could be right here.
Thanks DR, the same can be said for you Just want to add this forum is the best I've found, it really is very good - not just the United fans but most of the fans from all clubs I've come across. Good banter, interesting opinions and I've enjoyed coming on here (although I hold judgement on the gooners who seem to be the same everywhere ) Going to be sticking around.
I read a book through most of the second half, never done anything like that before but felt confident i wouldn`t miss anything.
Cannot agree with any of that mate. Your squad contains a lot of old timers and guys who are not actually that brilliant.
This has always been the case, be honest how many times have you called United players average/crap and meant it, but as a team they were much better than the individuals.
Late 90s early 00s you guys had a great side and just liked a top notch striker. Thank **** you didn't get Shearer
Suarez hasn't been the same for about a month yet we've just won our eleventh game in a row. Sturridge, Coutinho and Sterling can all be just as important.
