    Going to QPR is the last I've heard and that was a few months back. It seems his contract was mutually cancelled during the season.

    Some people were saying the other day that he was supposedly returning for Newcastle for pre-season stuff
    so who knows

    can't believe i'm saying this

    didn't he tweet (omg) he was coming back for pre season training also down as retained on NUFC.com squad
    and still on the official site on the player roster PlayerProfiles where as nolan isn't so i guess he's still our player

    HE tweeted basically saying "As far as I know I'm due to report to training on <insert whatever date it was> for Newcastle"

    He confirmed on his twitter that we would be back training with newcastle on 5th July so deffo still a toon player (for now)

    I actually think he would suit the system we appear to be going for next year. he was asked to do too much on his own on the wing last year and as a result wasn't too hot but i think his pace would fit the system well next year for cover.
