im a little dissapointed this morning with the Kasper thing..... he is a good young keeper.... he did well last year with the shower in front of him and lack of protection from the midfield. i just felt we needed a decent DM and CB and i thought "we have chance this year" but to have to look for a keeper Rubbish as well that Grayson is happy to sell to Leicester???? What next Max to Reading!!!
No Bucks...What the club really needs is to lose Ken Bates! Slowly and i mean SLOWLY people are coming to the realisation, that we don't want or need a chairman that invests NO money of their own...Bates has relied heavily on the fact that we went under, to get away with putting no real investment into the club, selling our best players in dribs and drabs but not all at once, so as not to make any waves..Schmeichel wanted to leave and NOT renew his contract...This is because he knows that there's no chance of making any real progress under Bates that there will be no expenditure to make a big push for promotion this year. So who can blame him for wanting to go even though he still has a year left on his contract? Leeds are only interested in loanees, freebies on the cheap and that's about it! Bates can run the club on the gates alone it's what he's done from day 1 and what he will continue to do, until he realises his ultimate goal of selling the club on for a huge profit, at which point he'll toddle off to the Cayman's sipping cocktails and laughing his arse off at the way he was allowed to 'mug off' LUFC and it's fans!
Weedsy, I think the majority of fans are against Bates now but there are still to many that actually believe in him. If we were only spending the money the club has made we would still be in a much stronger position rather than getting the cash syphoned off. If grayson manages to get us promotion again whilst Bates is calling the shots the fair play to the man, he will go down as a Leeds United Legend, two promotions with his hands tied behind his back. Unfortunatley as I said when Grayson came in he is EXACTLY the type of manager Bates wants. One that hasnt got a bad word to say about his Chairman & works well within budget & is a fan of the loan market. Grayson in (for now) Bates out forever!
I agree with this bit. So far, it's not been a good show at all from Ken. Six years on, we're in a similar on-the-pitch position to how he discovered us and six years is way too long for Leeds United to have to wait. Only player he's sold was Delph and that was for £8m. Worthwhile, I'd say, if we'd not spent the money on a doomed East Stand scheme. Then why did he make the Twitter statement? You need to prove a claim like that otherwise it's just a conspiracy theory. That's how it's transpired so far, but I'm giving Ken and Simon this summer to turn things around before I utterly resign myself to cynicism. I don't think that's true actually, I think his motive for coming back into football was, like he said, a challenge. It gives him a reason to keep living really, he's obviously not completely in love with the idea of just sitting on his arse in retirement for the rest of his days. Plus it gives him a great platform to libel whoever he wants and generally spout off in the media. Promotion to the Premiership would magnify that media platform hugely and give him the chance to be back among the big boys again. That's what he really wants. Why would he build the East Stand extension if he were just here to nick money and "mug off" the Leeds fans? It doesn't make sense. Don't get me wrong, I want him out and I think nearly any other chairman/owner on Leeds' level could do a better job. However I'm trying to look at each movement one by one rather than just pre-judging everything to be bad under him. Do that and you just end up panicking and ranting for no reason like all the rest of the Leeds United webspace seems to be doing.

Morning Pags, morning all. The Kasper thing is all a bit strange. The website says one thing, Kasper tweets something else. A huge mismatch here. But let's hope we get some good news in shortly. Anyone know when away tickets are due to go on sale? Late start or not, Southampton looks like a good trip.

The figure in the accounts show a profit on player trading of £3.8m for the year delph was sold, who did we buy worth £4.2m in the period
