Same with Martinez , no expierence but lots of connections when he took over Wigan. Could have 3 out of 4 of our last ex managers in Champions League next season , maybe 4 as I dont know what Sousa is doing .

Lone - under ML we won 6 out of 24. Under GM the record is 3 out of 11.

So his win ratio is almost identical to that of a manager who we sacked. Without the complications of mass injuries and weekly European games.

Awesome. Give him a five year contract.

No one will ever look at the reasoning behind Laudrup's final 6 weeks of insurmountable odds lone or the easier route we've had since , but getting basically the same results.

No - his win rate is currently better. So the stats do not support your contention of "what a mistake..."

Where have I said that he should remain as Manager? I think that we need someone better in charge for next season - Ronald Koeman perhaps?

As for complications of mass injuries - who decided to run with a "thin" squad?

    Hoddle would certainly split opinion.

Half the board think he's cräp and the other half think he's absolute and utter cräp.

I doubt, its Martin O'Neil. He likes to buy his success and I can't see our board giving him the money he'd demand.

Hoddle it could well be. He's the only 'out of work' British manager I can think of who likes his teams to play the way we do.

He does seem to fit the profile of the type of managers we seem to employ doesn't he?: relatively young, ambitious, relatively untested with little success but bags of potential.

Hoddle does have a large contact base and he is very well respected in the world of football, mainly because of his 'Glenn Hoddle Academy'. He set this up primarily to help young British players return to professional football after being released by their clubs. He also has many Spanish, European kids, on his books. Some at the academy were released due to an injury or simply because they were too small to play hoof-ball.

He's spent his own time and money to build it so, he sounds like he's a decent guy.

I liked him as a player and felt he was thrust into the England job far to early where he was left to battle a bitter and vindictive press on his own and we all know what happened.

If it is him then we could do a lot worse. No Monk jokes please.
