And it will remain that way, as he will never be trusted with a team like Everton, Newcastle or Spurs.

    Palace Fan here

Just reading this thread and I have to say that the people slagging off palace and Pulis clearly havent watched us play recently.

We dont play long ball at all, we play counter attacking football by using our very fast wingers and we also play through Chamakh on the floor, we played against West Ham yesterday and the contrast between their hoof ball and our wing play was vast.

Recently we've played Chelsea and Everton and been the better team in both of those games, we should have beat chelsea 3-0, we scored 3 against Cardiff away and 3 against everton and you dont do that by parking the bus.

Yes we get men behind the ball when defending but I dont see why every team doesnt do that! common sense to me.

Palace have always been an awful, snidey side to watch, no matter who's in charge.

Palace123, Pulis is the antichrist. Just see your game against Everton midweek, time wasting from the first whistle, 6 minutes added time due to time wasting. Palace players insteucted to assault their opposition.

Football is bloody expensive these days, no one can justify spending the cash to watch Palace constantly kicking the ball out, or taking 5 minutes to take every goal kick or throw in. It takes the entertainment out of entertainment, and becomes a frustrating bore fest.

Do you pay to watch football, or to watch ball boys collecting the ball and the throw/free kick/goal kick taker walk at snail pace to the spot and spend another 30 seconds flapping his arms about before kicking it straight out again?

Wherever Pulis goes, he'll always be a **** worthy of slagging off. Lovely bloke away from the game though.

Who said anything about fair play? I said Palace are a ****e, snidey team to watch. They are.

When Dowie brought them here, I swore I wouldn't bother going when they came back here, even though I'm a passholder. They were that bad to watch. Time wasting and cheating. I didn't keep my word because they kept changing managers, but they still had the same snidey style.

I was going to say something similar (though not quite as fawning!). Palace may be playing on the break, but they're doing it with pace, vim and energy, whereas Fat Sam's West Ham play the sort of pragmatic, turgid stuff we should be criticising.

If Barcelona are Des Lynam, then Palace at the moment are Jeff Stelling and West Ham are Alan Shearer.

It's the time wasting that rattles my cage, can't abide it and Palace do it all ****ing game. It infuriates me even when were hanging on to a one goal lead and we run the ball down into the corners, never mind 90 minutes of it.

The dour parking the bus is bare able, but when coupled with atrocious time wasting and instructions to injure the opposition players, I'd rather watch my own death foretold in a crystal ball to be honest.

So you're admitting its not FACT then? Seems odd for you to have suggested it was then.

A palace player broke his nose and half of the 6 mins overtime was for that

A 3-2 win against a Everton away is hardly dour, its the best ive seen us play in many a year and we passed it slickly along the floor, hardly a bore fest or parking the bus!

I've got no problem with how Palace play except their diving.

I'd just ignore 'em mate. The aim of football is to score more goals than the opposition - nothing more, nothing less - and anyone with half a football brain can see the Pulis has done a truly wonderful job and you're playing slick, counter attacking pace-filled football. When Utd did it with Ronaldo and Giggs it was 'exciting and clever using their pace as their strength', when a Pulis team does it is 'defensive sitting back and direct against the run of play'.

Some people make their minds up on football based on who is producing it. I've said it for many years our fans watching our own team decide if something is good based on which player is doing it.

Can't help but admire the job Pulis has done, if only begrudgingly.

I said the same when he was at Stoke.

Remember they had 4 points when he took over, so his point haul in 2 thirds of a season is amazing.

    The twat.

Rather presumptuous and a tad pompous. A few have said nothing about parking the bus, more the 'style' of play being dull and irritating in the extreme. I even pointed out it's the same from Palace no matter who's in charge, so the 'production' part's irrelevant too.

    Football's more than just results.

Crystal Palace have been plunged into another *potential spy storm, with evidence that Aston Villa’s team was known to them before the two sides met at Selhurst Park last weekend.

Villa chiefs were stunned to hear that a visitor to the Palace dressing room photographed an information sheet, showing the correct Villa line-up – which included four changes and a totally revamped playing *formation – two-and-a-half hours before kick-off.

The sheets, positioned beneath the pegs of each Palace player, included detailed scouting reports on each Villa player, showing that the visitors would change from their usual 4-4-1-1 *formation to a 3-5-2 system.

It also correctly predicted that Ciaran Clark, Fabian Delph, Gabby Agbonlahor and Karim El Ahmadi would replace Joe Bennett, Leandro Bacuna, Marc Albrighton and Andreas Weimann.

All the detail was spot on and Palace won 1-0, lifting them clear of the *relegation battle and keeping Aston Villa in danger of the drop.

Palace had already been reported to the Premier League by Cardiff, over the alleged leaking of the Bluebirds’ team to Eagles sporting director Iain Moody, before Tony Pulis’ men beat the Welsh club 3-0, the week before the Villa game, on April 5. Cardiff are demanding that the result of that match should be scrapped and the fixture replayed.

Palace boss Pulis will meet Premier League officials to discuss the matter on Tuesday, with Cardiff claiming League rules were broken.

    Pulis strenuously denies the *allegations.

Yet, Sunday Mirror Sport can reveal the astonishing lack of security, which allowed around 40 match-day sponsors and their guests to view the Villa team dossiers, while they were given *pre-match tours of Selhurst Park.

Our source was able to take a snap (above) of the scouting reports on Villa’s players, set out in their new 3-5-2 formation, at 12.28pm. The official team sheet would have been handed in – more than 90 minutes later – at 2pm.

The detailed nature of the team news suggests Palace were likely to have been aware of it before match day.

The team line-up showed that Villa would make the significant change of playing with three central defenders and wing-backs, rather than their usual flat back four, as well as four changes in personnel from the previous week’s home defeat by Fulham.

Palace were happy to allow visitors to take photos in the dressing room, with our insider noticing the team information, which had a full breakdown of the Villa team. Our source said: “The sheets were not hidden in any way and there seemed to be no problem reading them or even photographing them. I was gobsmacked when I saw what had been written about each player.

“The most amazing thing, though, was the fact that the formation and team line-up was spot on, which I thought was very strange, considering Villa *subsequently made four changes from the previous week, and played 3-5-2 rather than 4-4-1-1.

“Not many expected Weimann and Albrighton to be on the bench, and Lowton to play at right wing-back, but Villa lined up exactly as we had seen it on the paper in the dressing room.

“It just seemed incredible to me that we had been in the dressing room and had seen the exact Villa line-up two-and-a-half hours before the game started.”

The scout, who compiled Pulis’ report, included several damning assessments of Villa players. We’ve summarised them in our graphic above.

A Villa spokesman said: “The matter has been brought to the attention of the club. We have no further comment.”

Hmmm, debatable. If we won every single game of the season 1-0 with 20% possession in each match, 1 shot on target scoring a seasons total of 38 goals world you say 'f**k the title, I wanna go down losing every game 4-3 with 80% possession and zero points'?

If we played like Palace, I wouldn't go no matter what the outcome.
